Hello everyone, I'm new at this (2nd post). But I 'm going to WDW friday after surviving Isabel in Virginia. I have a question about The Wyndham Palms Resort and Country Club. What is the best section to stay in for views and access?. Anybody been there recently? Thanks:D :D

I was there in July. We were in Building 26. It didn't really have much of a view - just an open field - but the building was brand new - it had only been open two months.

The complex is very nice and the condo was great.

If you have any other questions, I will try to answer.

Have fun.

Thanks for the reply, I was wondering, in your opinion what would be a newer section with a decent view?. (Even though I doubt if we will spend a lot of time looking out the window):smooth: Was there anything you liked about the complex in terms of things to do, resturants, etc. Do they have a place where you can eat a breakfast in the complex? Your earlier reply has heightened our excitement:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

We were only there for two nights, so I can't really comment on all the activities available. There were at least two pools, a golf course and mini-golf. I understand they offer a continental breakfast Monday through Friday. We checked in on Friday, so this wasn't available to us.

The condo was really very nice. It was over 1,500 square feet. It had a full kitchen, washer and dryer, screened-in balcony, 52 in television, master bedroom with a jacuzzi tub and separate shower. The second bedroom had two double beds and another bathroom.

There was plenty of room and it was nicely decorated. It was about a five minute drive to WDW. All this for $89 on hotelkingdom.com. Quite a bargain.

Encouraging to hear good things about The Windsor Palms resort.

My better half and I are bringing her 2 boys over for their first visit to Disneyvile on Boxing day, and we've booked a 3 Bed Condo there overlooking the main pool.

It looks like a very nice place, and we're stoked about the trip - we've both been to Disney (myself many times) but her kids are first timers, so it should be extra special with the Holiday atmosphere too ! I've never been with kids so I'm really looking forward to seeing what they make of it all.

Just to be clear - we have been talking about the WYNDHAM Palms Resort and Country Club, not the WINDSOR Palms.

They are two different resorts.

Antmaril,

Maybe you can clear this up for me. I had a little bit of a problem originally sorting this all out when I was looking to book.

I know the Windsor palms changed names from Wyndham Palms, and I know there are other Wyndham resorts/hotels close by such as the Palace at LBV. I wasnt aware however that there was a Wyndham PALMS resort as well - I assume this is why The Windsor had, or had to have, the name change ??

I'm not concerned I've confused the two, I know we are staying at the Windsor, which is located off West US 192 close, along the access road to Splendid China (Formosa Blvd ?).

I'm simply curious as to what it's all about !

Thanks.

I'm sorry I can't really explain it to you. It is confusing. The Wyndham Palms is also off of 192. It is owned by Wyndham and they honored my Wyndham By Request membership. I received a nice bottle of wine, cookies and bottled water, with a nice note from the Wyndham By Request Manager welcoming us to the resort.

I have not stayed at the Windsor Palms, so I cannot comment on it.

Ok, Thanks Antmaril.

As it's on 192 also, maybe we'll drop in and check it out when we get over.
