I would like to send my daughter to the Wonderland Tea Party in January. Can someone give me more information about it? How long is it, how much does it cost, and most of all, would it be appropriate for a VERY outgoing 5 year old? What do the rest of the family do during that time? Can we get lunch somewhere at the Grand Floridian while we wait? Also, how many days out do you have to make the reservation?

Thanks!!

My kids haven't done it, but it's just the thing for my DD - she's into the girl stuff right now, but this next trip, we just don't have time.

I's say, go for it if you think she'd like it. As for the rest of the family, there is Gasparilla Grill that's open for lunch that has a nice menu. Check wdwig.com for it. You can wander around, shop, go out to the marina and check things out. I am sure you can find plenty to do.

Here's a description:
Wonderland Tea Party - A tea party (lasting one hour) for children, hosted by characters from Alice in Wonderland. Children will make and eat cupcakes, enjoy a story, eat lunch, and have tea with the characters, and make flower bouquets. Children who are potty trained and ages 3-10 may attend.

Available to all guests, Cost is $28.17 plus tax

My kids went two years ago at the ages of DS5 and DD7. They loved it. You drop them off and get to take them into the room and help them find a seat and get situated. You can take a few pictures at this time. They sat at one long table each seat set up with a plate and tea cup. The tea sets were very colorful. They make you leave for the hour. They even don't want you peeking thru the doors. If they catch you, they have the kids all yell...."NO PEEKING!" I was kind of bummed about that because I really wanted to watch. We just stayed and walked around the hotel. I did leave a disposable camera with my kids and the "helpers" took plenty of pictures of them. Alice and the Mad Hatter attended. They ate PBJ's and drank tea (apple juice). They also frosted their own cupcakes. They all gathered in a circle on the floor for a story. When we picked them up they each had a small bouquet of flowers to give us. They really enjoyed it. I think you daughter would too.
