Hi.

I can't believe I am in the position that I need to post this... but we just got back from a not so magical stay at the BWV and I want to write a letter regarding our issues. I would like to address it to the DVC manager and carbon copy the Boardwalk manager. Anyone know where I can obtain their names and addresses?

I'd really rather not air our dirty laundry here until management has a chance to respond to our concerns. (I feel that is only fair to them.) But once that is done, I will definately post in detail about our experiences and their response to our issues.

Just so you are not totally in the dark, our main problem was the lack of responsiveness of almost every CM that we encountered at the BW. However, I can say that the CM that checked us in on Sunday showed the same enthusaium and love of Disney that we have.

Sorry I can't say more at this point, but in my heart I don't feel that it is fair to bash them before they have a chance to hear my story. Thanks in advance for any info you can provide to me...

Did you ask to speak to the manager while you were there?

You could call member services and ask to speak to the member satisfaction manager (Carly?).

That's wonderfully refreshing. So often folks come to these boards, tell their side of the story, and present it as the only possible perspective. Thanks for taking this more thoughtful approach.

Debbie raises an important point, though, that might help you better work with Disney to resolve your dissatisfaction from this point forward: If the issue wasn't brought up to management while you were on-property, it is much more difficult for them to take any direct action based on your input now. For one thing, they surely cannot make it "right," the way they could have if given an opportunity when you first encountered the concerns you had. Furthermore, again, if you hadn't brought the issue up to management on-property when you first had your concerns, there are difficulties due to the nature of guest recovery that would prevent them from doing as much now, due to how older policies in that regard have been abused in the past by other, seemingly reasonable guests. So, if this would be the first time management heard about your concerns from you, you should expect that they'll listen to your concerns, politely, make note of them, and then it is very likely that they'll wait until they hear from a significant number of other guests who experience the same thing, before they take action.

I looked high and low this morning and couldn't find the business card for the GM of the BoardWalk Resort, which I had picked up last year. I think you can just write to "General Manager, BoardWalk Resort" at the resort's address:

2101 EPCOT Resort Boulevard
P.O. Box 10000
Lake Buena Vista FL 32830-1000

The General Manager at the BW is a man by the name of Vince Valdes. He helped me with a situation before. He's a great guy and very much willing to help guest with problems.

I am sorry the OP had a lack of responsiveness from CMs. I appreciate your discretion in not discussing the issues on this public forum.

Carli is still the Member Satisfaction Manager. Please try to be as speciifc as possible with names, dates, times, locations, etc.

Great advice from the others, especially to please let the managers know of problems while you are there.

Not only as Bicker said, does it give them a chance to make things better for you and the rest of the stay, it allows you to validate your concerns.

Once you leave there truly is no way to prove what happened.

I am sorry that you had a less than magical time. We recently returned from a week stay at the BWV and everyone we encountered was great.
