I noticed that the courtyard views are more expensive than the wood views. What exactly are you overlooking? I was concerned as I saw one picture posted where they posted it was a courtyard view and their sliding glass door/patio looked directly out to a TON of people to what appeared to be near the pool. I would not find this room my cup of tea. I don't want ground level and would like a higher floor, particularly whatever is the highest and I want to overlook either woods or things like the lake/scenery, etc but not of people directly or parking lot service areas. Can anyone help? Hubby and I are trying to book today. THANKS SO MUCH:thumbsup2

What you need to request is an INNER courtyard view on the 4th or 5th floor. This will give you a beautiful view of the main pool and or bay lake. Sometimes if you just request courtyard they might give you a view of the couryard of WL villas --which is not horrible just not as nice as the inner courtard view. Hope this helps.

I think parking lot/service areas would be a standard view. We had two rooms at WL in December (one standard and one courtyard). Here are our views:

No view is guaranteed and the last 3 trips to WL we had horrible room locations and now that there really isn't a slow season they don't have the flexibility to move you around the way they once did.
If you aren't into people try for a woods view ona high floor.

Now on the other hand BW, YC & GF we have had wonderful rooms without special requests the last several times...Go Figure.
I think often it is a crap shoot.

We had a courtyard view this summer, and it was on the first floor. While people were not right upon us as you mentioned in your post, the pool along with the people, were close by. As previously mentioned, you should request an upper floor, but keep in mind that depending upon hotel occupancy, you may or may not get your request.

FWIW, we really enjoyed the little patio area, and there was always some creature there to meet us in the morning...ducks, rabbits, birds, you name it. Also, since it was the height of summer, there were always people in the pool and to be honest it NEVER bothered us at all. There is some degree of landscaping between the rooms and the pool area.

We had a woods view this summer. The first room they gave us had a small view of the woods, but mostly you just looked at a big wall. IMO, this should have been a standard room. We asked to be moved and we got a room that overlooked the Villas and the walkway to the buses. It was okay, but was nice and quiet this summer when I wanted to sit out on the balcony and read.

Ditto on asking for inner courtyard view. This will get you a view of the pool and/or lake. There are some courtyard view rooms that overlook the quiet pool area.

OUr CY view this month was really nice, I thought. We were on the fourth floor with a view of the villas and quiet pool. Very relaxing...
The other room I've had was concierge (seventh floor) and tho you could see the service area if you specifically looked down for it (which I tried not to!), the sight of the MK fireworks made up for that; plus, I never was bothered by noise from the service area, such as trucks. My next visit is booked woods view. And I imagine it will be nice.
