i just booked a lunch at tusker house with the nemo tickets. any info and photos of the food there at lunch would be sooooo helpful. we are not vegetarians, and the only photos i could find were of veggie selections. what else is there ? also, is the nemo seating in a separate section and if so, is it a nice location from which to watch nemo?? thanks in advance for help! :)

We ate at Tusker House in May 09, I didn't get any pictures of the food, but it was really good. Rotisserie Chicken, Roast beef and Pork Loin.. Some seafood including salmon plus a large cold cuts and cheese platter. There is a kids area that has mini corn dogs, mac and cheese, and chicken drumsticks. The food was all very tasty.

We also did the preferred seating for Nemo and you sit in the very first rows to the front right of the Theater. Very good seats and real close to stage. Here is pic from our seats.

My family is sooo not vegetarian and there are tons of delicious foods. The bobotie (spiced ground beef with a corn bread like top), pork roast, a selection of cold cuts for sandwiches and even chicken strips.

There are some pictures in my blog (link in my signature) of foods and desserts. Once you are in the blog just click on the restaurant review section and scroll down to find Tusker House.

:)

wonderful! thank you so much everyone for the info. i have only seen the nemo show once and that was when it first opened. at the time, the wait was long so i thought this might be a good idea to just be able to walk right in without waiting. sounds like a plan!!:cool1:

We LOVE the Tusker House:thumbsup2 They have really delicious hummus and pita bread. The chicken curry is amazing!

We loved the Tusker House in AK, the one place we can all agree on in that park because there is something for everyone to eat, no matter what they are in the mood for. How did you book the nemo preferred seating with that meal? I didn't know you could even do that, is it on the website or do you have to call?:mickeyjum

i booked online and it automatically comes up as a notation on the page that all reservations for lunch between 1 pm and 1:40 will include a nemo ticket for each person on the reservation for the 3:15 show. i would guess that it is the same for booking on the phone. i didn't have to select anything, it just comes with lunch. beats waiting in line for nemo! hope this helps!

just went back and reread. it says all guests booked for lunch at tusker between those times get a ticket for a reserved seat at that 3:15 nemo show. it does say that you should show up for nemo 30 minutes prior, but i guess the section is reserved for those seats. only those times for lunch get a ticket. 1:00 to 1:40. sounds like a good idea!

DW and I just ate at Tusker House last week and the food was wonderful. In addition to the great rotisserie chicken, great salmon, and carvings, they had a seafood stew with shrimp, scallops and mussels, that may become my favorite dish at WDW. Also, don' miss the samosas. They are meatless but they are well seasoned and cooked perfectly. And, as they say, leave room for the desserts.

Enjoy

Thank you elizabethswan! Thats exactly what I needed to know, only 10 days until I can book my ADRs.:worship:

We had a different experience. It was the worst meal of our trip. I was looking forward to it based on positive reviews and it was plain bad. The food was cold and the pototoes undercooked. The set up at the buffet was terrible - you ended up standing in line with your meat on your plate getting even colder while waiting to get to the vegetables. It was actually the kids section that was holding up the line. I finally went around the back of the buffet to get the vegetables and they got mad. They only allow people to go on one side of the tables which contributes to the line I am sure. The other side of the buffet (with the less popular salads and such) was fine but the part where the meat/vegatables was terrible again based on the fact that they put the kids section right next to that section. We really didn't like the desserts either - my kids wouldn't eat any of them. Then, to top it off, they wouldn't even give you their flavored drink on the DDP. Since we were on the DDP, it wasn't a big deal but I certainly would not want to pay OOP here.

:)Is the food the same sort as Boma from the descriptions it sounds very much the same which is not a bad thing

just curious, the last time we saw the nemo show was 2 february's ago and the wait was long. is it still a long wait, making this deal more appealing? just wondering if anyone has recent experience during a peak time for nemo. thanks!
