HI
Due to the closing of CBR we are now heading to the poly
I did absolutely no research on this resort because I never thought we would be staying there.
We leave in 6 weeks so I need assist quick
We will have two rooms and I have requested adjoining as it will be my DH and I, My dad and my 3 girls 10, 13, 16.
What rooms should I request? Which bldgs. are best?
Etc., etc.
I know also there used to be a guy on here that had a really nice website he had done with tons of pictures of the Poly. Once again I did not save it because I thought we would not need it.
Any help you all can give me would be greatly apreciated and if anyone has a link to that guys website that would be great. My kids want to see Poly Pics!!:)

I believe you need to request "connecting" rooms. At least that's what we were told before our trip in January. We did have connecting rooms at the Poly. We were in the Tokelau building on the third floor. It is a beautiful resort!

Have a great vacation :D !

I copied all of his pages and binded it like a little book so I make reference to it for our trip in January. That way I don't have to keep checking his site and causing a "hit" against his site.
He and his wife are the best.

Hope this helps.

I have one word..TAHITI. We stayed there 2 years ago and it is a little walk to the Great House, but still very close to TTC and the GC house is about a 5 min. walk. Also, the last two rooms on the 3rd floor (lagoon view) are connecting rooms. We had them both and it was great. Great Views too.

We stayed in the Tokelau building at the Polynesian and it was great. We booked a garden view but got a room at the very end of the longhouse (#2915) and had a pretty nice view of the lagoon! In fact, if we didn't have a giant palm tree next to our balcony, we would of had a perfect view of the castle! I did scope out the resort a little when I was there and I think next time I am going to request a room in Tuvalu (1st floor) because it is right next to the beach and it is surrounded with beautiful flowers and trees. There is a bunch of bamboo right outside of the rooms and whenever the wind blows it makes such a pretty rustling noise. Also, Aeotera (sp??) had beautiful views ( if you get a room facing the beach. Otherwise you get a view of the monorail, but the view was kinda boring.) Oh, and Fiji and Tahiti have beautiful garden views. The whole resort is beautiful!! I have never stayed in a lagoon view before but I would imagine Tuvalu would have the best lagoon view. It is literally 2 steps from the water. I have 9 rolls of film that I have to get developed ( most from the Poly) I will try and get them up asap

If you have a garden view, there are few buildings that you can go wrong with. Fiji, Aotearoa and Niue are all very nice buildings, with great views - some of the monorail - and good locations. Tahiti also has some really great garden views. Regardless of the building, you really are close to just about everything. You might want to think more about what floor you want rather than what building. Remember, most buildings don't have balconies on the 2nd floor. For more privacy, request a 3rd floor room so there are no neighbors above you. 1st floors have patios, but depending on the building, can be close to walking paths through the resort. This might or might not be an issue for you.
