I've received 2 adult and 2 child My Way Hopper tix from a business associate for my upcoming trip this week.

Thing is, one of my children needs an adult ticket.

Also, the tickets don't say how many days they're for, (they just state activate for 3-7 days) on the tab portion, and seeing as they were a gift the associate did not give me a receipt.

In light of the above, is there away to:

A. Convert the child ticket to an adult at the park
B. Find out how many days are on the tickets BEFORE I head down to Florida on Friday?

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!

i'm pretty sure the only way to find out how many days are on the tickets is to ask the person who gave them to you. Once you get down there guest relations can look up how many days the tickets are for.

Also, I believe you can upgrade the ticket to an adult ticket. I think you would just have to pay the difference.

If these are the new tickets and they have been used, they are not transferrable. They have the other person's name on them, plus they are linked to that person with the biometric scanner.

If they are new tickets and have not been used, you would have to go to the park to see how many days are on them. You would have to pay to upgrade the one child's ticket to an adult ticket since it was not use prior.

You have vouchers that are exchanged for tickets when you get there. Make copies of the ticket vouchers before you go. Photocopies are best but hand writing all the numbers and codes is OK.

After the child ticket is upgraded to adult, all of the tickets can be expanded to as many as 10 days if you wish. If they had at least 3 days, the cost to add days is quite minimal.

Day 4 (if not already present) costs $15. Day 5 costs $9. Days 6 and 7 cost $3. each. Days 8, 9, and 10 come as a group for $11. (adult prices with tax)

What does all the wording on your ticket vouchers read?

I don't think they are vouchers, they are the new My Way Tickets sold in the Disney store. They're kind of like a credit card with a magnetic strip.

Also, I'm fairly certain these are new tickets and have NOT been used. There are no names or anything on them.

Right, they're not vouchers. The activation is done at the Disney Store register when they're purchased.

I think the FIRST thing you should do is to just ask your associate! :) I don't think it would be rude. Just tell them you really appreciate the tickets! Then say that it's not marked on the ticket and ask how many days are on them.

If you don't feel comfortable doing that, call the Disney Store and explain the situation to them. They may be able to help you, but I honestly don't know.

If all else fails, you will, unfortunately, have to wait until you get to Disney World to find out what you've got on the ticket.

If you need to purchase more days, use your cell phone and call 407-WDISNEY, and order your tickets via Will Call. You'll be able to get an advance purchase discount even though you can't technically buy them in advance.

Have a fantastic trip!

Thanks for the reply!

I've tried calling him, but the poor guy has been fighting Pneumonia the past week or so, I haven't been able to get a hold of him.

I have called the Disney store, and the Disney ticket office, it looks like the only thing I can do is go to Guest Relations at the parks or DTD.

No biggie, we have a free day on Saturday, I'll just head to DTD in the morning. It woulda been nice to be able to call or take them into the store, but alas, no luck with that... at least so far!

Caution: Purchasing more days as separate tickets for use during the same 4 to 10 day vacation almost always costs you more than upgrading an existing ticket to have more days. For example adding days 4, 5, and 6 to an existing unused 3 day MYW pass should cost you $27. Buying instead a separate 3 day basic MYW pass will cost you $182.

What is the tab portion? Does the ticket say "activate 3-7 days" and nothing else? Perhaps the codes and numbers on the back tell how many days are on the ticket.

The Ticket and Tab are a light blue color...

The tab states the following:

Ages 3-9
MAGIC
YOUR WAY
TICKET
with Park Hopper Option

Activate for 3-7 days
at any register

only valid if sold by a "Disney Licensed Ticket Activator"
* Note: 2 tix are 3-9, the other 2 say Ages 10 & Up

The back of the tab explains all the options and whatnot, but no phone numbers or codes.

The Ticket Card itself has a magnetic stripe on the back, with the following directly underneath it:

0051 BAR CODE 11/18/04 WDW:CAS001 xxxxx
The 5 x's are actually a number, the only number which varies from ticket to ticket.
** Note: the Ages 10 & Up tix start with 0050

As for upgrading and adding days to the tix, that's what I hope to do. It'd be nice to know how many days were on them beforehand, but oh well... I guess I'll have a suprise waiting for me (though I believe there are 4 days on each).

I'm surprised Disney Store can't scan them and tell you whats on them, particularly since the sell the darn things. Also surprised that the WDW ticket office can't help.

I'll just take em to Guest Relations and see what I've got! Something is better than nothing!
