Need info on Maya Grill and Liberty Tree Tavernn......

We have eaten as so many places in and around WDW. I am in the process of planning some sit down meals for our 2 week summer vacation. We will once again visit our favorites: Boma's, Flying Fish, Teppanyaki, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Le Cellier and of course, Chef Mickeys........

I am looking at trying Maya Grill and Liberty Tree Tavern.

Can someone tell me aobut them and what is on the menu???

I can't help you with Maya Grill, but we went to LTT last fall and found it to be just wonderful. They have the usual fare for kids, but my DH had the Pilgrim's Feast (I think that's what it's called) and it wasn't just your typical turkey and dressing meal. It was quite tasty. I had the pot roast and it was devine! We also had the Maryland crabcakes as an appetizer and they were just wonderful. It is now our favorite for a sit-down meal and we will put it in our plans for next year's trip.

I've been to both and I really enjoyed both. The Maya Grill was definitely a pleasant surprise. I understand that the menu has changed at Maya since I was there (12/01), but I'd assume that the quality has not. LTT is a favorite of DH's so we've been a few times. We definitely prefer dinner to lunch, and really enjoy the character interaction. The food is not spectacular, but it's still pretty good. Give 'em a try!

Been to LTT 3 times for character dinners. We've always gone with a large group, usually 10-15 people. As I remember, they did have a problem seating everyone close, so we took 2 tables in the same room ( but we didn't have priority seating). Everyone has really enjoyed. The food is served family style, and quantities are plentiful. The characters seem to come in and out in about 30 minute shifts, and my 68 year old father had a great time posing with Goofy in his revolutionary era costume. Not sure if the menu is the same since we were last there ( July 2000) but back then, the food was good but not fancy. Had roast beef, ham, turkey, potatoes, veggies, mac-n-cheese, and corn bread with honey butter.

We've been to LTT and Maya Grill and like them both. The food at LTT is good- especially the viniagrette dressing that comes on the salad- yummy!! They offer turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, your typical family style food along with mac and cheese. It's all tasty. We were actually at Maya Grill the very night it opened, and the food and service were both fantastic. We've been there once since the menu changed, and it was still fab.

We ate lunch at the LTT this January and we've eaten there for a character meal dinner on a previous visit. Both meals were very very good. The Flank Steak during with the family style dinner was tasty, and my wife and I ordered the Pot Roast off of the menu for lunch. The roast was very tender and you could eat it with a fork and the Mashed Potatoes complimented it nicely. After a couple days of fast food during our journey, that meal really hit the spot! We'd give the LTT two thumbs up for either meal.

We did the Character Dinner at LTT and we LOVED it. We enjoyed the food and the character interaction. We hope you do.

LTT is a lot of fun. If there is a parade that night, time your dinner so that you will be done in time. That was such a fun eveinng!

Haven't had dinner at Maya,but the breakfast was great! The quality of the food was outstanding, so I can imagine dinner would be wonderful, too. It's such a well-themed restaurant. To make an evening of it, I would take a nice walk around the lake. The resort is beautiful at night.
