Need info on B2B cruises

I don't think the photographer's were there yet when we went back on. If you waited you could get a photo again, I suppose.

I know they won't be there when we board, but I am hoping we can board and then cross back over the bridge later on when the photogs are set up.

Another question for previous b2b'ers - were you able to go back later to the photo area to take another boarding picture once the photographers showed up? I think we would like to get that second boarding picture if possible - yes we are crazy about pictures! :) We're doing a b2b on the Magic out of Miami.

No. If you want the photo you need to wait in the port until boarding starts. This might mean you are waiting for an extra half an hour, sometimes an hour.

You do get a deal on the photo cd. I believe the 2nd cruise was half price. Also, if you ask shutters, they will hold your photos in your box over to the next cruise so you can combine the pictures for the 10 photo package.

Yes, the 2nd cruise is 50% off the CD package. You can ask them to hold all the photos and pick them up at the end of your last cruise.

Regarding the 50% off photo package deal, what if your first cruise is short (4 nights) and the second long (14 nights). Seems like it would be a good deal if the longer cruise package was half off, or are there different rules in this situation?

That's a good question. Probably one you'd need to pose directly to the Shutters people:

The My Cruise Photo site does say:
For back-to-back cruisers (guests that sail on the same ship for two consecutive itineraries)

Please let us know what you find out, if you contact them.

What cruises are you taking that's a 4 night followed by a 14 night?

Hypothetically, Bahamas followed by Panama Canal. Thanks for the link, that would be interesting to find out.

Got a response from the folks at My Cruise Photos, regarding the discount on a b2b when the second cruise is much longer than the first cruise. Support Representative Greg Nusser confirms that "you can get the discount if you are cruising back to back on the same ship." Hmm, wonder if he's right. I'll save the email as proof.

Ahhh ok , so staying in the room is doable, but just not leave due to the inevitable crossing the barrier drama... gotcha.. ok I'll be sure to ask if the option to stay in the room until after the barriers are taken down is doable, thanks!
On our last B2B I had to "cross the barrier" twice ... explained to the people waiting we were already checked in due to the B2B with no issues ... love doing B2B's :)
