Need info on attractions with baby!

We're leaving for WDW in about a week with our 4-year-old and 4.5-month-old DD's. We're only spending two days at Disney; one at Magic Kingdom and one at MGM. I'm wondering if there are any rides or shows that may look tame on the outside, but could be frightening/loud for our infant on the inside. Basically any that we should avoid with an infant or any that are really great for young ones! Thanks in advance!

it really just depends on your infant...is the babe laid back or anxious? at mgm...the great movie ride is great...but indy jones can be really loud.
mk..you'll figure it out...almost all the kiddy rides will be great, buzz, cop is great but can be long if the babe squirms...the tta in tomorrow land was a lifesaver for me to nurse the baby.

I agree with the pp. It depends on the baby. We took my ds for the first time at 13 months. He didn't like 4-d type shows, like Mickey's Philharmagic. Not only was it loud but there are "extra" effects like wind blowing through the theater which scared him. You might try it but just make sure you're one of the first to enter the theater, that way you can get a seat near the exit doors and make an early exit with baby if she starts to get overly anxious. You'll learn pretty quickly what she'll tolerate and what she won't. I'd say if you take her on one "dark" ride (i.e. Snow White, Peter Pan) and she doesn't enjoy it then you can pretty much be sure she won't like the others. Definitely do Winnie the Pooh, though. My ds has always adored that ride!

Now when on our last two trips at 17 and 20 months he loved everything we took him on, so it was just a matter of him getting a bit older and becoming "mature" enough so that it wasn't so overwhelming any more.

We took 11-month old Abby on just about everything we could. The only thing that scared her was the noise from the fireworks.

Hmmm, thanks for the info everyone. She is a pretty laid-back baby for the most part, but of course has never been exposed to anything quite like Disney at 4.5 months! I was mostly concerned about the loud noises. It is good to know that we could exit most shows if things get rough! I think it's the only bad thing about taking her at this age that either my husband or I are going to miss out if we have to wait outside with her. We are going again next year so that's a bonus. But then she'll be about 15 months...and we'll be chasing her around!

When we went in September our DDs were 3 1/2 years and 5 months. Our baby went on pretty much everything - she wasn't bothered by the noise. Now our 3 1/2 year old was another story. She did great overall, but the noise in a lot of the rides/attractions really bothered her. I think next time, I'll bring some type of ear plugs for her. Good luck and have fun. Just remember to go with the attitude that you may not be able to do everything you want.

I second the recommendation to watch out on the 4-D shows also, the spitting water and air might bother your little one. Not sure if you can take tiny ones on Astro Orbiter, but that seemed maybe a bit rough for such a little one, but it's been a while since I rode it. I would avoid the racetrack, as the car behind you could rear-end you.
