Okay Disney friends I need some help with ideas to surprise someone IN Magic Kingdom.

I haven't seen my best friend in 3.5 years. We met while working at Disney-MGM Studios in 2001. She turns 40 this month and will be at Disney to celebrate.

I was able to work my schedule to get one day to go there to surprise her. Literally flying to Orlando in the morning and flying back to home that night.

They will be at Magic Kingdom when I arrive around 11am. I really want to do something fun but I need help coming up with WHAT to do!

It's gotta be something I can do wherever they are in the park. Any ideas?

One idea I found online was to have her husband be taking her photo and then as he's doing it I just go stand in the photo next to her.

Can you guys think of anything else that might be fun to do instead, or even to add to this idea?

Well, if you go with the photo idea, it might be funny if you photobomb her photo first (stand behind her so she doesn't know you're in the photo).

I think your idea is perfect.
How much more do you want to do since the outcome will be the same, she will be surprised.
I like that her dh can take her picture and you will be right there. OR, let him text you what attraction
they are going on and you can just walk in back of them onto the ride. You can catch up while standing in line LOL
But, your idea sounds great! How fun!

Another option is to make a meal reservation for for three and her husband knows so when she walks in, you're already seated at the table.

Do they let one person sit if the whole party isn't there?

I think the photo idea is adorable!
If for some reason it doesn't work we had a pretty simple plan when we suprised our kids, they didn't know their grandparents, uncle and cousin were in wdw too.
As we were going into the boarding area of soarin (obviously will work with almost any ride) we texted the rest of the group. They waited behind a pillar until we got off the ride. As we came around the corner they all just happened to step out and directly into their walking path. Having masks on made recognition tricky (their uncle briefly pulled his down for the reveal) so you may be better off outside if indoor masks are still required when you go.
You could probably even call her to say happy birthday and while she is on the phone and distracted walk up with a cupcake. Or oh maybe just out of eye line start singing (obnoxiously loudly) happy birthday, I'm sure a couple nearby CMs or park goers would join in with you!

The photo idea would be surprising and meeting everyone for dinner would be, too. Maybe if characters were allowed , Minnie could say hello.
