My husband and I are heading to WDW in August for our honeymoon (We got married Jan 2009). We'll be at POR-Riverside 8/17-8/23.

He has never been, and this will be my 1st adult trip! :cool1:

It originally was just going to be our first vacation away from our daughter, but then we decided to do this for honeymoon since we really didn't get one after our wedding! On that note, I'm trying to find some ideas to do to make it just one step "more" special. I've checked out Disney Florist & I know about the POR carriage rides, & I made special notes on all of our ADR's to let them know and I'm planning on getting the celebration pins.I just wanted to see if I could get any more suggestions or ideas to pick from! So far, my hubby knows most of the plans but I want to spread some magic so he can become just as crazy about Disney as I am! haha (How's that for trying to convince we need to go back every year!!)

Thanks for the help!

What about a special tour? It seems a lot of the guys enjoy the Segway ones. We did the one at FW.

Do you have cost in mind? There is the Richard Petty Driving Experience and the parasailing by the Contemporary. On a more mellow note is the hot air ballon in DTD (which is just a boat ride away from POR).

One of our next trips I am thinking of surprising my DH (who will be my DH by then) to lunch with an Imagineer.

To be honest, I'd be tempted to just let Disney work their own magic :confused3 When I took DF for the first time it was maybe half an hour into the first morning, and he saw the magic and was hooked, it was nothing I did, or planned, it just happened, and that's what I think the most magical thing about disney is. :wizard:

I totally agree with Bec. Disney does it on its own. Just don't plan out the day to much and enjoy the time there. To me if you just go and enjoy he can not be disappointed. Don't worry to much about him loving it, that will come naturally!!

The first time DF and I went to WDW was the last time I ever had to explain it to him. Although he is a kid at heart too, he now loves and understands my total obsession with it all. Before we went in Dec he looked at me and said that I am a totally different person when we are going to Disney, and with that I know he understands the magic of it all.
