I'm putting together DVDs from my last two trips to WDW - all the pictures are the same - attractions, entertainment, characters, etc, etc.

My last 2-3 trips have been solo so there's no pictures of my daughter, just the above stuff.

Does anyone have suggestions on what I can take pictures of during my next trip so the DVDs are not the same old thing?

Thanks...

You could take pictures of hidden mickey's.

Or pick some sort of architectural feature (windows, doorways, light fixtures, water features) and only take photots of those. That could make a cool portfolio.

One of the best pictures I have taken was at EPCOT. I took a picture of one of the columns in Italy. '

One day in the Magic Kingdom we split up for a little bit. I walked to Main Street and got an ice cream. I sat in one of the fake doorways. It was so cool. It was quiet and I watched people walk by and no one knew I was there. I took a picture of that doorway. My daughter thinks that is a very neat picture.

Definitely! Get one of the Hidden Mickey books and go to town! I've always thought it'd be cool to have a pic of a ton of hidden mickeys. It's fun finding all the hidden mickeys and DW and I had a CM start talking to use about several hidden mickeys and her favorites around the park. This all started because she saw our book. She said Jungle Cruise (we were getting ready to get onto Jungle Cruise) didn't have many if any that she knew of because it was an old attraction.

I love CREATIVE photography. So here's a few:

Take pictures of your FOOD at WDW, then you can come back and join the most fun lovin gang on the DIS forum HERE:

Don't just take pictures of attractions; but rather take pictures of those you love IN FRONT OF attractions. We learned this after many boring pictures at the zoo.

Take creative pictures. Angle them unusual and don't be scared to climb a little or even lay on the ground to get your shot (within reason... I wouldn't try it at a crowded spot; you might get trampled!) You get the picture though. Sometimes a picture looking up or down adds excitement.
One we have on our wall was at Epcot. I had my wife stand at a certain spot. I then told her "turn this way... al little more this way... back... NOW, hold your left hand up high... more to the left..." Then I snapped the picture and wouldn't tell her what it was all about, and quickly changed the conversation. When we got home (this was back in the 35mm days) she saw the picture of her at the naked man statue in Italy and she's rubbing the naked man's butt. She nearly fell over laughing, because she wasn't expecting it. It's one of her favorite pictures now.

Get a GOOD camera. Those little tiny digital cameras rarely take really good pictures. You might THINK it does till you join the food thread and see some of those people take pictures. Some of them are "just pictures". Some of them aren't too good, and Some of them look like WOW!!! the item is sitting on your desk and you can see the tiny textures of powdered sugar.

Dont take pictures of dark rides.

Get out of everyone's way! Dont EVER stop in a crowded walkway (like the entrance to AK) and take a snap. People will bump you and it causes traffic jams. My 2 cents is that EVERYONE has "that picture". Step off to the side and get a little "close by foilage" in your picture. It gives it more character too.

And to me personally... character pictures are just "OK". I prefer more original and creative pictures like one we have of my DW with about 8 critters glaring down at her while seated at Flametree.
