Need ideas for Neighboorhodd Website - Please help

I am setting up a website for our neighborhood and I need some ideas for content.

I have local useful numbers like for the Police, post office, etc.

I any putting a links for favorite websites (local or non) and I could use some help on some good sites that you may have there as well.

Any advise would be appreciated.

how 'bout a messageboard area where residents can post events (block party, garage sale, etc); kids can post offering services like lawnmowing, babysitting, snow removal (if applicable in that area), and such.... if there are neighborhood meetings, dates/times/locations can be posted as well.

How about links to the local movie theaters and other entertainment?

Maybe a link to the local weather forecast.
