ok so we will arrive at disney probably around 1ish...hopefully we can check into pop century at that time if not ...what do we do..and then if we can what do we do..we have ultimate park hopper tickets while we are there..so should we head right to one of the parks or should we go to like downtown disney or what....we will be there feb 2-8th...me..hubby...son 4..and daughter 6.....any ideas would be great..this is our first time..

I personally wouldn't use a hopper day ticket, I would go to downtown disney or miniature golf or go to the hotel pool.

If you have ultimate hoppers, I'd use them every minute I could. I think the first day, I'd plan to hit a park (MK or MGM), do a very few rides (no more than 3 unless it's really dead) and then have an early dinner at a sit-down restaurant (Liberty Tree Tavern at MK or Prime Time at Studios). I want to get to bed early my first night, but since you can get into the parks, why not make use of those UHPs for a few hours?

Are you flying in? Getting up early? My kids don't sleep on the plane (too keyed up) and are too excited to nap once we get in (they are 4 and 5) so with UPHs we might as well hit the parks. But we plan for an early night. This last trip we arrived at the hotel about the same time you are (we were staying at BWV) we dropped off our luggage, walked into Epcot and had a late lunch at the Biergarten (we were all starving from travel). Then we rode a few rides in Epcot (Journey into Imagination and Spaceship Earth) before heading back for an early bedtime (early being the kids were asleep around 7:00. The grown ups sat on the patio and chatted.

Now, they (the kids) would have preferred we head over to the MK - but that place is a zoo mid afternoon and it was a Spectromagic night, which means that it would be a zoo all evening. If I had thought we could stay up for Spectro, we would have done that, but I knew we'd be too tired, so we left early.

Other things my kids like to do is swim in the pool...they are more than willing to waste an afternoon in the pool.

Hello,

I was wondering the exact same thing. We are arriving (by car) at POP Century on Feb 1 (with sister, son 2 and niece 3) we do not have hopper passes and plan to visit just 2 parks (MK & AK) with a day of rest in between. Not sure what time we are arriving we usually aim for check-in time (3 or 4 pm) we thought about heading to Downtown Disney for dinner and to pick up autograph books for our trip to MK the next day...not sure if it will be warm enough to swim - hoping so :sunny:

any other suggestions??

yes we are flying....we do have to get up early...we will be getting up that morning probably around 5..our flight is at 9......my kids might sleep on the plane...they are pretty easy going kids....

If you room is ready, I would check in and settle in for the week and take a break/nap. About 4or 5 I would head over to Epcot and have dinner at a nice sit down resturant and them spend some time touring Epcot. It's a lot more laid back than MK and stays open later. SAve MK for the next day when you are all rested and at your best. If you can not get into your room, you could check your luggage and go to any park or resort for a sit down lunch and if everyone is rested a little, hit a park for a couple hours and turn in eary. We have learned that taking a little time to unpack and settle in when we first arrive makes the whole week go more smoothly.

Have a blast.
