Need IDEAS for 50th birthday ROAST or SKIT

Hi DISers...

I know there's some great thinkers here. It's my brother's 50th birthday May 3. While we (a group of 4 couples, and their children who have been hanging/partying/camping/vacationing together for YEARS) were debating what to do for his birthday he took the bull be the horns and invited us to his house for a get-together.

We were thinking of doing a this-is your-life type of skit, or perhaps a roast. Anyone have any ideas??

When DH turned 50 a couple of years ago, my Mil got a bunch of his old friends together from high school days and they all told funny stories about their escapades together! Everyone gave him gag gifts (his sister even conned a Viagra pill from someone) Also, Mil found the cutest picture of DH when he was about 4 or 5 and blew it up to poster size. It was so cute, in the pic he was mad and looked like he was just about to pop!

Don't know if any of this can be used in your situation, just thought I would share. Hope you have a great time!

My friend's family created a game of Jepordy based on his life.....the categories were based on each decade of his life.....and questions were based on events in those decades. It was fun.

Before the party, our friends asked for contributions and stories from my brother's life for a list of the "Top Ten Reasons Why We're Surprised that Frank made it to 50 !" So many people had such funny responses that we ended up making it a Top 15! Wasn't hard to put together either. (Many friends set their ideas via email)

They did a birthday skit on an episode of the Cosby Show. It was Clair's (the mother) birthday. Each of the kids got together and talked about the things that were popular when she was their age.
