I know this is not Disney related, but am hoping my fellow Canadians can help me.

My husband and I will celebrate our 10th anniversary this November (we only had a 2 days honeymoon when we got married and went on a belated honeymoon to PEI the following summer). We are hoping to do something special for out anniversary this year but are really unsure what to do, or what we can do. If we go in Nov. we have to take our 2 boys out of school and will either have to take them with us or home dh's parents can look after them for the week (they live 6 hours away from us, and another 3 from YYZ). Or we can go in the summer, but again, not sure if we will have to take the boys with us or not.

Length of time would be one week without our children or 2 weeks with them. Price, we'd prefer to pay less that $5000 for the 2 of us, not sure how much if it was 4.

ANYWAY. That's our background. We are open to any and all ideas for anniversary getaway suggestions you might have. I'd greatly appreciate suggestions from all who read this not matter what they might be. Thank you.

Do you have any price restrictions? or length of time restrictions?

I'd take the week in November. Cancun or New Orleans are both lovely spots, and $5000 for the 2 of you would make for a fairly luxurious time in either place.

Of course, that's JMHO. Cancun was where we spent our honeymoon, so I may be biased by how romantic it was for me.

Kungaloosh!

I vote for Hawaii in November... not Oahu, nor Maui, but rather the Big Island. There is so much more to explore there, the snorkeling is better, and the resorts are to die for and not too ridiculous a price. I am biased towards the Big Island as that is where we go when we do not go to WDW, but IMHO it is truly paradise...:)

You could go to Disneyland in California and then rent a car and drive over to see the Grand Canyon, stopping in at Las Vegas for a short visit. You could do this with or without children. There is plenty for kids to see and do too in Vegas. It might be cheaper to fly into and out of Las Vegas and do the trip the other way around.

You could do a driving trip with the kids in the summer (depends on how well they do in a car ). You could research whatever interests you and go looking for it.

Have you ever been on a Disney Cruise? That could be an option with or without kids again.

How about going west to Alberta, BC for example. The Edmonton Mall is supposed to be cool. I have never been there.
