Need Ideas- 100 of something!!

My son did 100 Lego guys! Ya we have that many- not even like we had to "look" for them. He was in readiness then- it was the 100th day of school. He stood them all up on green plates.
Now he is 21 and our last trip to downtown Disney we went to the Lego store- Both of us -Nick, it looks just like your room! and he LOVED LOVED LOVED the Lego guys on the wall!

My daughter made a lollipop tree. We got a styrofoam cone and 100 lollipops and she stuck them in the cone. It looked really cute and she gave out the lollipops to her class at the end of the day.

When my oldest was in kindergarten we made 5 word search puzzles with 20 words each. They were created with an online puzzle maker. One puzzle had they first names of his classmates, one had school supplies, etc.

We're doing that project here too!

When my dd did it a couple of years ago she spelled "ONE HUNDRED". She glued 10 different sets of items on each letter (macaroni, stickers, fruitloops). Ten letters, ten items, one hundred things.

Is this a world wide project, or what? LOL

Ahhh! Both my kids 4th grade teacher did this! Brings back memories. :cloud9:

DS cut 100 small snowflakes and he made a snow man out of them. They stuck together pretty well on their own because of their edges.

DD made a big chocolate chip cookie and there were 100 chips in it.

Good Luck!

We just finished my youngest's 100th day project. She counted out 100 crayons out of our crayon box at home (I swear they multiply on their own, LOL!), and we hot glued them onto a piece of thick cardboard in the shape of a crayon.

When my son was in kindy, we went to home depot and collected 100 of the mickey shaped paint sample cards, peeled off the mickey heads and pasted them on a posterboard in the shape of a mickey head.

My older daughter glued 100 goldfish crackers on a posterboard in the shape of a goldfish. This was cute, but the goldfish did fall off pretty easy. Also, the grease from the crackers created grease marks on the posterboard around each one. I had no idea that they were so greasy!

First grade teacher here...we do this project every year. Some of the cutest I have seen:

- paper bag vest decorated with 100 stickers, beads, stars, foam cut outs, etc.
- t-shirts decorated with any of the above or 100 items drawn with fabric paint
- inexpensive foam visor with the numbers written from 1 to 100 using Sharpies
- 100 stick pretzels made into a log cabin

We have actually done the "100th Day Fashion Show" where the kiddos show off all of their 100th Day attire...very cute!
