Need ID for AAA discount?

We are not AAA members, but a family member is and offered to let us borrow their card. I'm not even sure if a name is on the card but, do cashiers, waiters, etc., usually ask for ID when you present your AAA card? 10% discount on food and merchandise could really add up!

We used our AAA card for a lot of discounts and we were never asked for an i.d.

I wouldn't chance going with someone else's card...how embarassing would that be if they asked for ID? Yikes! And the card's do have names on them, and a customer # that if something is wrong with a ressie they have to check. Also, you would have to book the rooms in the other person's name just in case they do ask. Gets complicated!

Thanks for the feedback. We decided to become a member after all. We are not using it to reserve rooms (Ent. rate is much better!) but will be using it for everything else.
