Need hotel recommendation

We're going to WDW in May and thought maybe we'd take the kids to the Universal parks too the last few days of April. We're a family of 7 (2 Adults and 5 kids). The kids range in age from 9 to 9 months. With kids this age which hotel do your recommend...would it even make a difference? Also is there a hotel (I should mention we're looking for onsite hotels) that has a room big enough for a family of our size? Or do they have connecting rooms at any of the hotels there?

We stayed at the Royal Pacific this year and loved it. We had two rooms which were connected. One room had a king sized bed the other two queens which I would have thought would be suitable for you.

When I rang to book, I was told they can guarantee interconnecting rooms, so it shouldn't be a problem.
