need hotel reccs near McCarran airport

Can anyone give me recommendations for a hotel near the LV airport? We are flying in and arriving 9:30pm. We plan on leaving the next morning for the Grand Canyon, have to pick up a rental car, etc.
Thanks in advance! We have never been to the West and I just don't know even where to start!

You can see the hotels on the strip from the airport. Not just because they are tall building but because Las Vegas Boulevard borders the side of the airport opposite where the terminals are.

I would stay anywhere from the center strip to south strip and take in a little LV the night you arrive.

Theres too many close by hotels to list them! Hawtorne suites is probably one of the closest. Another would be Best Western McCarran located on Rental Car rd.

Are you headed to the south rim of the Grand Canyon? Flying into Phoenix is a faster drive and is 225 miles vs 275 miles from Vegas.

South Pointe is not too far, has a free shuttle and is very, very reasonable. The restaurant wasn't bad either, not fancy, but reasonable and consistent.
