I need cheap but good for 5 people 3 kids and 2 girls. we are coming from indianapolis so something like 4 to 5 hours from Orlando
thanks

We stop in Valdosta - used to stop at the Fairfield Inn but that is no now the Peach Inn or something like that - this time we are stopping at the Courtyard - they have alot of good hotels along there- - usually takes us less than 4 hours then to get to Disney.

There are 2 Hampton Inns in Valdosta, right at I75.

There's a Hampton Inn & Suites at exit 16. They of course have suites, and they have rooms with 2 Queens plus a Sofabed.

There is another Hampton at exit 18 -- no suites, and I don't know whether they have rooms that accomodate 5. We (family of 3) have stayed at this one before. Nothing luxurious, but it's just fine for one night.

A little closer to Florida, there is another Hampton Inn in Lake Park, at exit 5.

Another vote for the Courtyard in Valdosta, we stay here every year (driving from Michigan). Very clean, friendly staff, comfy beds, near stores, mall, restaurants, movie theater. You can usually get a discount (GOV, military, AAA). We sleep in a little (up at 7a instead of 6a for us!), eat at Cracker Barrel and are enjoying the parks before noon!

There is a nice Country Inn and Suites. I want to say it is exit 18. In Valdosta, there is a Long Horn very close by. Indoor pool and free breakfast. Only about 3 or 4 years old. It was running around $110 for my dates and I wanted something cheaper, but I am not finding anything as decent, in my opinion with breakfast included.

That is the Hampton Inn my family and I are staying at later this month, the day before we arrive in Clearwater Beach. In the past we stayed at the location off exit 18, however last year we tried the one off exit 16 and we loved it. So from now on when we stay in Valdosta that is the Hampton Inn we will now stay at.
