We are taking advantage of the free dining special at the end of September. All they had left was Carribean Beach or POFQ.
I have never stayed at CBR and stayed at POFQ once over 10 years ago.
Which one should I choose. I stayed at PO (AB section) last year, it was ok.
My favorite is Coronado but it is all booked :sad2:
Stayed at POP in April, loved it, also booked :sad2:
Can't afford higher than a moderate resort :sad1:
Any thoughts would be helpful.
Sounds like the first weekend in Oct will be crowded, almost everything for 9/30-10/4 was booked for the dinning package. :maleficen

I chose POFQ because of it's smaller size & recent refurbishment, if that's any help to you. CBR just looks dauntingly big.

The walk at CBR isn't that bad. You might want to read the CBR FAQ's listed below and visit the pictures I have of the resort.

I think it comes down to theming. Pick the one you like best and I am sure you will have a great time.

We loved CBR. The CM's and mousekeeping are the best we've had at any Disney resort. Bus transportation was great. Very close to both MGM and Epcot. We were lucky enough to stay in Martinique before it cost more. Love the storage space. The big drawer under the bench and the shelf under the sinks were a big plus. (Stuff kept falling off shelf over sink at POFQ) Able to store suitcases under beds. Pool is not as fancy as POFQ but we spent a lot of time at the water parks so we would just hop in for a quick swim at night. (Never crowded) Food court had the basics but once again great CM's.

We had stayed at POFQ about 8 years ago and loved it (our first Disney resort stay other then SOG) but stayed there last July and it was just okay. The rooms were nice since they had just redone them, but over all nothing special. Buses seemed to take forever to get anywhere because even if our bus was full we still went to POR to pick up people. I know a lot of people love the boat to DD, but it seemed to take forever.

Safetymom has some great pics of CSR, take a look.
