I'm so confused on this new ticket system. Can I still buy regular park hoppers before Jan 2nd? We are going for 4 nights. Would it be cheaper to buy the park hoppers or do the new tickets?

Starting January 2, 2005 Disney will have a new ticket out called MAGIC YOUR WAY
You'll be able to create the type of ticket you want and hopping is not something guaranteed any longer with your tickets, you have to add that option for $35 whether it be for one day or 10.

Just click on the words "magic your way" to read more about it. Also on the THEMES BOARD there is a thread at the top of the board that talks about the new ticket system.

Yes, you can still purchase the regular PHs. A 4-day PH (no pluses, never expires) would cost you $215.13/$172.53 (adult/child) when purchased in advance. This price includes the 6.5% tax.

If you were to purchase a MYW passes with the same features, they would cost you $185.00/$148.00 for the base pass, $15 for the "no expiration" feature and another $35 for the "hopper" feature. After that, you need to add 6.5% tax. The same "ticket" would cost you $250.28/$210.87!

Of course, if you don't need that park hopper feature and plan to use all 4 days in the same visit, the MYW passes would be a more affordable alternative
