I am a DVC member that is why I posted here, If you think its in the wrong place please move. We are going to the world Feb 10th. Me my dw, DD6, DD2.5 and now DS6months. the 6 moth old was supposed to be watched by family (mother) but after a trial run we found that it is not going to work. He is almosting sitting up by himself but needs support. We don't want to bring the stroller that can handle his little carry car thingy. we ahve a double MacLaren for the 2.5 and him and it will work great. Now to get to my QUESTION finally. In the resturants, are the hi chairs normal high chairs with backs or are they the wood kind where the kid needs to be able to sit up by himself and gives them no support?

and a follow up question

if they are the wood kind, is disney agains us bringing our travel chair, that hangs off the top of the table, this gives him more then enough support and would work great

Thanks for all your help

They are the wood kind not suitable for an infant.

I have never seen a table-attached being used. Most people hold the child to feed them, use a portable carrier set as far upright as possible, or politely ask for a location that can accomodate the stroller using its tray as the "table".

You could call 407-824-1000 and ask to be connected to a restaurant at your hotel to ask how infants can be acommodated.

They arent all wood highchairs - many are plastic that are deeper and more curved than the wood ones.

Just bring a blanket to use as extra support/propping if needed (plus, alot can change in 3 weeks - this might not be needed at all!) - your 6 month old should be fine!!

I don't think any will be appropriate for the average 6 m/o unless you take a carrier. I think you'll be holding him or leaving him in the stroller.

Restaurant high chairs often hold an infant carrier when turned upside down. You can also purchase the cushion/cover that go over restaurant high chars & shopping carts.

I think they were trying to get by without the carrier.
