whats the best way to book a villa holiday we were going to do a disney hotel but we are deciding on a villa this time round.
there will be 4 adults and 2 children
thanks in advance

We tend to book all the components separately. A Google search will throw up countless options for villas; in fact, in can be a bit overwhelming. It's probably a good idea to make a list of must-haves and nice-to-haves (close to Disney, spa, games room, lake or conservation view, for example) to start narrowing it down. I'd suggest really whittling down your short list before you even begin to think about emailing owners for more information - in my experience, it can become too confusing.

A couple of good websites for getting a good idea of what's on offer are:

http://www.vr360homes.co.uk/
http://www.villas2000.com/Central/index.html

I've got a pretty good idea of where most sub-divisions are if you need any help with that.

Just got back from a villa holiday - we booked a fly drive with Virgin & then booked villa off VRBO. As Deb said you need to know where/area you want to stay & other requirements to get you started. We stayed at a lovely townhouse at Windsor Hills. I picked this because of location to Disney (it's very near). it's a gated community with a resort pool & quite a new estate. Enjoy your search:cheer2:

last time we booked with a small & local to us villa company. We felt we got the best possible service. I rang one day wih a query & left a message for them to get back to me. They phoned me within the hour from Belgum where they were on holiday & yes they could answer my question!

We stayed at Windsor Palms in a beautiful villa in what we thought was a great location.

I like the fly drive and then choose my villa myself option :)

I can't improve on UKDEB's advice for how to choose it, though :)

The villas on the following sites are all verified by the site owners for extra peace of mind

orlandovillas.com
onlinefloridavillas.com
villasflorida.com
disneypremiervillas.com

I've got no reason to believe the owners advertising on these sites aren't people of integrity, but I am struggling to understand how one would be offered extra peace of mind by having them verify their own villas. I'm not suggesting for one minute that the OP should disregard these sites, but I wouldn't place any more faith in them than in any other.

UK Deb The site owners ask for verification that the homes advertised on their site are actually owned by the people advertising them and not an agency or management company. Some people who are looking to rent like this as they feel confident they are dealing directly with the owner rather than a third party.

Hello we rented a Virgin villa with their fly drive and loved it.
The last two visits we have rented a private villa from villa rentals and the owners live in uk. We love having a private villa with its own pool so we don't have to share it with any one else. (brilliant).

We have booked our villa for this June through Dalton's!, and booked our flight's through Virgin. We love all the home comforts a villa has to offer:yay:
