Need help with using AAA, not sure what to do???

Bear with me- I have a couple of questions. I always book my own vacations through Disney but am curious about the advantages of the AAA discount. I want the MYW dining plan for next summer. How would I go about getting the discount- can I book through disney and tell them I am an AAA member (which I am not officially yet-but should get my cards soon). Or do I have to book through AAA, and if so how.

If you want to get the AAA discount on the room and get the dining plan you need to purchase a package through AAA. To my knowlegde the only AAA discount you can get booking through Disney is room only. Other than the room discount you get various other discounts throughout Disney, including 10% off purchases at World of Disney store (some exlusions apply), you also get the AAA parking pass, and a complimentary beverage in the AAA Vip lounge in Tomorrowland. There are some others as well but offhand I cant remember. PM me if you want and I will get the rest of the info for you. I just recently booked a package myself so I have the literature here.
