Ok, I think I have good general plans for touring DHS and Epcot... But for MK I don't know where to begin. I have made a list of must-do's and other attractions that I'd like to see but ok if miss them. My must-do's seem to be all over the park. So where do I start? Any advice on how you tour MK?
My must-do attractions are Splash, Big Thunder Mountain, Space (will be open when we go), Buzz, Pirates, Haunted Mans., Peter Pan, Philarmagic, and Tea cups. If we have time would also like to see Monsters inc show, Jungle Cruise, Alladins carpets, IASW. What order would you do these in or at least which ones would you go to first thing after rope drop? Thanks for your help as always.
P.S. We are only going to have one full day (which we might take a midday break and come back later for the parade and wishes), and one other evening for EMH (not arriving til about 7 and stay as long as we can--it'll be summer so the EMH will be til 1 or later).

We usually only spend 1 1/2 days in MK and have plenty of time to do EVERYTHING! I'm talking about 5 hours the 1st evening we arrive then one full day, we don't get there until about 11:00, take a break about 4-7 for resting and dinner, then finish out the night. You should have plenty of time to see it all in the amount of time you have allowed. And, we spend a ton of time just skipping around the park because one section may get too crowded so we'll head over to another area until the 1st lightens up. Guess I wasn't much help for your planning but I just wanted to assure you there is time!

Thanks for your advice. I was worried about not being able to see everything. It will be summer and hot and more than likely crowded--going in June...

I just read your op closer - my oldest daughter and I absolutly LOVE EMH Evenings at MK. We have stayed many nights and closed the park at 1 and 2am! You can ride so much more over, and over and over..... It's actually the only time I've ever been on Splash Mountain! I did learn on my last trip that I will avoid Fantasyland at about 6:00 in the evenings. It seemed that all the families with the younger children were coming back from naps and it was so very crowded! Of course, we had just gotten there and my daughter was only 4.5 so where else would we have been?

I would start at the Mountains in frontierland first, be sure to be there at rope drop, and Fp BTMRR or Splash, and ride the other one. While you wait for your FP time, You can do POTC, Magic Carpets or Maybe Jungle cruise.

Then get a PP fp and do IASW and Philharmagic while you wait for that FP time. ( and fit Teacups in)

Then you can go to Future world and FP space. Do the attractions you want to see there.

We think it is less crowded in Futureworld in the afternoon.

It is pretty easy to get on IASW and Philharmagic, even if it is crowded.

Most important, ALWAYS have a FP in your hands! Make sure you know what times your next FP is available, so that you can get them immediately!

Have fun!!!

Hmm let's see....

On your full day:
Dash to Splash first thing.
BTMR
POTC
If the wait is less than 20 mins for the Jungle Cruise, ride standby. Otherwise, gets FP's.
Ride Aladdin's Carpets while waiting or right after the cruise.
Haunted Mansion if the Jungle Cruise FP time hasn't come yet.
Go get FP's for Peter Pan
IASW
Teacups
Philarharmagic
and other Fantasyland attractions until your FP time for Peter Pan starts.
Ride the Haunted Mansion after Peter Pan if you didn't see it earlier.

On your evening time:
Get FPs for Space first thing.
Go see Monsters Inc
Ride Buzz
See any attractions you want until it's time for Space Mt - or maybe you might want to see the characters in Toontown (if it's still there when you go!)
If your FP return time for Space isn't for a long time, remember that you CAN pick up more FP's if it's been 2 hours since you acquired the ones you have.

I must say, that is a VERY curious list of must-dos. Especially with "teacups" thrown in. Before that, I'm thinking you're just adults, but now do I see a youngster in the mix?

Have you been to WDW before?

You have PLENTY of time for your highlights, medium lights, and much more. Especially if you take maximium advantage of the FP system.

I'm curious why you that is a curious list of must-dos? I have three sons, and those are pretty much our favorites. (Take away Tea Cups for me, though )

Teacups is a kiddie ride available in every state fair. I wouldn't think it would be a priority in the same list as the mountains, unless you had really little ones who could not resist it once they saw it. By the time my daughter was seven, she knew she didn't travel all the way to Florida to wait for that.

Thank you for all of your ideas and advice. I've been to WDW once before almost 7 years ago stayed offsite. We missed so much before because we didn't really do any research. It will be me, husband, my two sons, my younger brother and his daughter, my older brother, SIL and his son, and my mom. Our boys will be 6, 11, 14 when we go and my niece will be 5. I have came to the conclusion that I know we will more than likely have to split up while touring. So the main reason I thru teacups in is I was trying to think of one of the kiddie rides that my boys wouldn't mind going on. And since it is one of the classics and it looks fun.... I don't know, that was one of the ones we missed last time. No way can I get them on dumbo or winnie the pooh! So I am sure my brother & niece and my mom will probably go do the fairies, princesses, pooh and all that while we are riding frontierland attractions. I first tried to plan all the rides that we all could enjoy together like jungle cruise, teacups, iasw, maybe splash, and then we could split up and do the others. But that seems way too mind boggling to plan. At least for me...

Well, I think you have plenty of time to do just about everything in the park. First of all, I wouldn't try to rush around going from one highlight to another, that's too tiring for me. You just have to use FP to the max. Of course, with a group of ten (if my math is correct), then splitting up during a hot and crowded time of year sounds like a plan.

But with that age range, I can't imagine missing COP, the refurbished HOP, or anything else really. doing the easier, seated, air-conditioned stuff is great while you are waiting for your FP time to open up.
