Need help with tickets

My family and I have booked a two week trip to Disney World. We have our resort reservations, park hoppers and dining plan. We recently learned my husband must come back a week early. We called WD and asked if his second week can be transferred to one of our adult children. WD said no. In 2013 we had magic bands and I believe they were just introduced. I recall only having to use the band to get into the parks. So.... can't we simply use my husbands band?

You still have to do a finger scan, even with MBs. The finger scan won't match if he gives his MB to someone else to use.

Park entrance also requires a finger-can ID.

How far out are you? Can you cancel and rebook?

No we can't.

Tickets cannot be transferred (shared) so your adult child cannot use your husband's ticket.

If you are more than 45 days before arrival day you can reduce the number of days on everyone's tickets without penalty. If you are within 45 days of arrival, you can still reduce the number of days on the tickets, but there is a $50 change fee that you will have to pay because the total cost of your package is less. However, it might be better to just leave the ticket as is because on a 10 day ticket the 5th through 10th days are only $10 per day.
