Do any of you survivor fans have any ideas for the Survivor Finale? We will have 4 adults, 4 children attending. We are complete Survivor Addicts!! We have watched every episode since it first started. Also, any ideas for door prizes? Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!! :thewave: :thewave:

Go to orientaltrading.com and see what you can find. They have a lot of island stuff for Luaus and whatnot.

I get together with a group of friends every week for Survivor-- it's sort of a tradition that I started when the show first premiered. :teeth:

One of our staples every week is gummi candy in the shape of something yucky (just like the food challenges). Sour gummi worms are always popular, but any gross creepy crawly thing will do equally as well. ;)

Top of my head ideas:

Big plastic bugs as the centerpiece of the snacks. Rice, plantains, and fish should be on the menu.

Toilet seat painted in wild patterns and colors for the Tribal Necklace (door prize!)

Big colored pieces of fabric and paints so each person or family can make a flag.

Little voodoo sized dolls or party masks (at the card and party shop) that you can detail so they resemble the Final Four. You can stick pins in the ones you don't want to win the challenges!

Tiki torches with name tags on each for the party goers.

Slips of paper and a jar ala Tribal Council for each person to write their pick for the winner of Survivor.

Wow, thats all really creative!

Just make sure nobody shows up dressed like Richard Hatch...or should I say undressed like Richard Hatch. LMAO

maybe I'll hit the party planning store for some tiki stuff -- we'll party sunday night, too.

How about some coconut for dessert. I personally would choose coconut cream pie.

When we watch the finale, we choose names out of a hat. That name is the player you root for to win. If your player wins, you get a prize. You can also make up challenges to do before, after or during commercials- such as the "how well do you know your tribemates"- this game is good with family members, you can ask questions throughout the week, or ask the question of one member and see who matches the answer (use dry erase or chalkboards from the $1 store). Making your own "buffs" is fun and easy to do with fabric markers. And everyone needs to eat with their hands! Fun stuff from the party store helps out a lot, as do gummy insects, rice (or rice pudding), etc....
And get some face paint to use for body paint, you can paint yourselves just like the survivors do towards the end.
Kids get a kick out of this, give everyone a votive candle to signify "life" in the game, when their player is out- the tribe has spoken, so blow out their flame.
I think Survivor parties are so much fun. I swore I wouldn't watch after the 1 st season, but alas.. I am addicted.
In closing-- Go Rupert! I have my tie dye shirt ready!

what would be a good desert for a survivor party?

I would suggest for dessert going with either a Snickers pie ( that is what Survivor All Star Jerri always requests when she gets booted- Snickers bars), or anything chocolate. It seems to me that the desserts they give in reward challenges are usually some form of chocolate, like a hot fudge sundae or brownies. I think I am doing a combo with brownie sundaes:tongue:
Or try some kind of fruit dessert, like banana cream pie or ambrosia.
If you just want to go with the "beach" idea or for kids, I would make sand cups. They are just like making dirt cups except you use graham cracker crumbs instead of oreo crumbs and I would use swedish fish instead of gummy worms. Stick a paper umbrella in it and you're set!
