Okay I am going in December (6-14), I finally sat down and worked on our schedule so I could make all of our dinner reservations. I was able to get almost all of what I wanted, but 1900 Park Fare and OHana were both booked. I really want to eat there so I want to know how I go about this. Do I call and check back everyday or every week. Is there a certain time of day that's best? What are the chances that something will open up between now and then? I really thought the beginning of December was supposed to be slower. I didn't realize I would have a problem booking dinners. I guess I was wrong. Pease help, I don't know what to do :confused3

call back. Openings do occur. I wouldn't call back every day at this point. Weekly should be fine. Call in the afternoon when the lines are less busy. People don't wake up at 7:00 AM to cancel ADRs. Don't get frustrated early. Cancellations often happen late in vacation plans. People book early and change their mind as vacation approaches. Call even when at Disney if you don't have luck before that.

Call back. And maybe try to shift your days a little if these 2 restaurants are important enough for you. They may have availability on some of the other days you are there. At least they are fairly large restaurants, so I think your chances of finding a cancellation are better than at some places.

Also call the same day if you cant get an ADR before that. Lots of people decide a hour or so before a meal that they dont want to keep a reservation that they made 6 months ago! The nice ones will call to cancel, freeing up some space!
