I can not for the life of me figure out how to print two recipes to a page or even one so that it will fit on a page.

I know it is not difficult but I can not get it to click.

Thanks.

I change my pages to landscape and make them two columns to fit on the page. You may need to reduce your font size to fit the whole recipe on the page (although make sure we can still read it). I find that if I list the ingerdients in columns for the long recipes that helps. I think on the last swap someone actually put their recipe on 2 pages because it didn't fit on one.

The way I do it, is I use one of my my scrapbook programs. I choose blank project, and set the paper landscape. Sometimes I will put a frame on the page for reference or for cutting lines if I want oval or circle...I then type or copy/paste the recipe in a text box. Then open the box to the size I want the recipe to be on the blank page...

Then it's just a matter of picking the "perfect" font (which always takes me forever), and the font size so it fits in the box. Sometimes the recipe is too big for the perfect font, and I have to use that for just the title, and use Arial Narrow for the recipe. I print lots of tests on scrap paper before I get the final too. I can't tell you how many times "print preview" looks perfect, and the actual print cuts off one whole side

Anyway, thats how I've been doing it. Hope that helps a little! I'll be printing mine off today too :teeth:

Landscape, two columns, table for the ingredient (with no borders). I have gotten four to sheet if the recipe didn't have alot of steps. I have also used three colums when going for a certain look.

You can also play around with the page margins to give yourself a little more working room, but it will take away the ability to add more layers of paper.

I also printed to transparency this time around so you could see more of the paper.

Susie, check your email. ;) I sent you 2 pages of my recipe cards. Mine are set up for 3x5 cards usually, but I do the 2 columns of ingredients and get 4 to a page easily. The 2nd page is a pair of the double/folded 3x5 cards if you know what I mean. I thought you might be able to use them as a template - with some adjustments obviously since you're doing a larger format than I do. (I print 3x5 cards to use in the kitchen and do a 6x6 recipe swap on another board using these.)

Let me know if you need any help!

Thank you so much. I will go look now.

I have done recipe swaps before with no problem. But this go round I am not having any luck. It is a new computer and new printer - at least from the last I did recipes.

Go figure.

Thanks for the help.

You've jinxed me - my printer isn't working right! Just kidding about the jinx. My printer is having paper jams and making a loud clunking noise. Of course, it worked ok earlier when I printed my practice recipe but now it's acting up. If I can't get it to print here, I'll take the paper to work. Luckily I have extra of my recipe paper as I've already lost one sheet.

Totally OT, but....

Vanyel - I love your tag!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

And not your tree one either ;)
