We are going to Pigeon Forge in June. I've been looking for hotels on the internet & can't decide where to book. Here are a few I would like your opinions on:

Park Tower Inn
Econolodge Riverside
Music Road Hotel
Valley Forge Inn

Thanks for the help!! I am afraid to book something & it be a horrible place.

I don't really know much about the hotels you have listed, but I can recommend this place: Twin Mountain Inn and Suites. They have rooms with balconies on the river. They have a pool. It is located behind the Dixie Stampede. I was there with MIL for a few nights in December and the place was very clean.

My inlaws have a couple of houses in the mountains (about an hour from PF) so we don't spend much time over there anymore. MIL and I just went to do some Christmas shopping. Since we weren't sure about the weather, we just rented a room down there for a couple of nights so that we would not be on icy mtn roads in the dark.

I remember thinking that the Music Road Hotel looked pretty nice, but I don't remember the others. Sorry I can't be of more help on that, just thought you might like to hear about this place.

Subscribing to the post. We are also planning a trip to Pigeon Forge and would like some pointers...

I stayed at the Shular Inn in Sept 2002. It was very clean, comfortable, had an OK continental breakfast and an indoor pool (didn't have time to use it). here is the website:

They also have a trolley stop right at the hotel. There are 2 buildings w/ a road inbetween them. I believe the trolley stop is on that road, not the main street. We stayed in the back building. it was very quiet. It came w/ a fridge and microwave, so we had several meals in the room.

We stayed at Music Road Inn in October. It was very nice & clean, one of the newer looking hotels. We stayed in the 1 bedroom with jucuzzi and fireplace. The bedroom was huge! Nice balconys. We will stay there again. Kids loved the pool with slide. I don't know anything about the others you listed.

I was going to say, of the ones listed Music Road seems the nicer... I also like the national parks resort lodge - they advertise suites and fireplace rooms - still on the main parkway in Pigeon Forge.

LOL @ dixipixi - do you know we've had... hmm, snow I think twice this year - both of them gone as quickly as they started!! It's been 50's and 60's here!

:lmao: We were laughing at ourselves when nothing actually materialized out of that. I have NEVER driven on ice or in snow, so just the thought that it could actually happen kinda freaks me out!!! Can deal with the hurricanes, but snow and ice?!?! It really was cold when we were there. I had to wear thermal undies, 2 pairs of socks, regular clothes, a sweater, and my coat! This was early December. Of course, y'all were probably still wearing shorts! :rotfl2:
