Got all my dining for my upcoming trip in August. I just need some recommendations on dinner after our Animal Kingdom day. It’ll be 2 adults and a 2 year old. We have park hoppers. We plan to spend the morning at Animal Kingdom and leave around 3pm. We will relax/nap at our hotel (The Contemporary) and go to Magic Kingdom in the evening. We are already doing breakfast at Tusker House that morning so no character dinner. Any suggestions on a sit down dinner? Thank you!

We go to the Grand Floridian Café at least once every trip. We always have a good meal, we like the atmosphere, and afterwards we can jump on the monorail and be at MK in minutes.

Yeah, MK isn't the best for sit down places, but if you want to keep it in the park, Skipper Canteen is good. Definitely check the menu first, as it may not work for picky eaters. Otherwise, it's easy enough to hop over to a Monorail resort for a nice dinner. I might try to do that early, before you enter MK, but if you ate a big breakfast at Tusker House (great choice!), then you might not want to eat too early.

A few options right there on the monorail: Steakhouse 71 at the Contemporary. Kona at the Poly. Wailulu (sp) at the new Poly tower, Narcoossee at GF

I'd say either Steakhouse 71 before leaving the resort, Kona Cafe and Poly, or if you want to do one in MK I'd go for The Plaza as its relaxing in my opinion or Skipper's Canteen although I'm not fond of the food but the atmosphere is fun and still relaxing.

Thank you! We are doing Steakhouse 71 for dinner another night. How’s Liberty Tree Tavern for a later dinner?

LTT is nice, but do you want to spend the park time eating or out doing attractions?

I’m thinking we can do attractions as soon as we get there and before heading back to hotel to eat there. We have other MK days.
That works. LTT kind of reminds me of TV dinner meals though. Think of the basically standard thanksgiving meal of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, etc. All filling. Mostly tasty.
I might suggest the Plaza instead though.

Ok I’ll look into the Plaza! Thank you so much!

I would try Kona! You can get some of the things from Ohana without the price tag and then monorail (or boat!) over to MK :)
