We are considering staying off site the last 2 weeks of October, we always stay on site so I am looking for some feed back on spme of our choices. we have found several timeshares to rent a two bedroom at. It will be myself, my wife, daughter, age 3, son age 9 months, and mother and father in-law.
If anyone has any experience with the following, I would love to hear it, good or bad! Thanks!!

Marriot's Sabal Palms
Vacation Villas at Fantady World
Amerisuites Vacation Club at Calypso Cay
Parkway International Resort
Westgate Lakes Resort and Spa
Westgate Town Center
The Wyndham Palms Resort and Country Club
Celebrity Resorts Orlando Spas

don't go with Westgate - they will try to sell you and kept calling....

I would go with the Marriott's Sabal - this in World center so not far from WDW

the Amerisuites Vacation Club at Calypso Cay is fairly new and almost cute.

I didn't like the way in and out - not a light and you can't turn left (where the parks are) - you had to turn right then do a U-turn.

they have a computer - the rooms were not carpeted

found it very clean - not fancy - but nice.

this is between WDW and SW.

I haven't stayed at The Wyndham Palms Resort and Country Club
but several people here have and they seem to like it.

I've stayed at 2 Westgates, Vacation Villas and Town Center. Town Center was great, the rooms were beautiful; we didn't get any selling at all.

Wyndham Palms was great also, I'd go back in a second. Also no selling.

I stayed two nights last year at the Wyndham Palms. The condo was new, large and quite nice. Since we were only there two nights we didn't use any of the amenities. We were never approached about buying a timeshare.

I prefer staying onsite, so I probably wouldn't stay offsite again. However, if you need the space and can get it at a reasonable price, it will be fine. (We paid $89 per night for a two bedroom, two bath condo in July, 2003 through hotelkingdom.com)

gallaj0 - you actually stayed at a Westgate and weren't constantly harass by sales people....

have to ever though about participating in the Florida Lottery - you have got to be very lucky!!!!

I got called twice a day!!! and then they actually came and knocked on the door....

Not on your list, but we have stayed at Cypress Point 4 times. Have been in both sides of this resort, and liked it very much. We have had a king bed in the studio with a whirlpool- this is also the lock off unit if you need 3 bedrooms. The 2 bed room has a full kitchen, king bed with bath/whirlpool, 2 nd bedroom has 2 twins, and some have a trundle under one of the twins. The couch makes into a queen. We sleep 10 very well last May.Screened in balcony with table/chairs.
Nice decore. Pool was medium size, has basketball court, pool table, game room. We had a washer and dryer in the 2 bedroom unit.
We also stayed at Polynesian Isles 2 years ago. Same as above mostly, but no whirlpool in the masterbed room. Kitchen, washer, dryer. Outside facil. not quilte as nice. Ok views. Ours had a very nice waterfall/park off the balcony.

The resort is owned by Sunterra and we were not bothered by a sales rep. after saying NO THANKS. However we do own a lot of points with them.... not in the Orlando area. As of last Fri(Sept.10) they had rooms in the Cypress Point resort.

Best of luck!
