need help with national!!

i'm going for 10 days (feb 26-mar8)
i have EA card and with the disney club and vacation outlet coupon i can only get my rate down to $283.

as a fluke, i tried some rate on alamo, and for the same size car (full) i got a rate of $237!
i'm trying to get a quicksilver membership but i've heard it's not like EA where you just walk out and pick out your car and you can't upgrade.

i really would prefer national due to the EA convenience but $50 is a big difference. any help would be appreciated.

Sorry, I couldn't do any better...

I got $300 at National (DC coupon)!! And I got $251 at Alamo (DC coupon)!

So you should definitely keep your reservations!

I know it's a tough decision. At National you can skip the counter and at Alamo you can't.

I believe eventually you will be able to skip the counter with Quicksilver but it hasn't happened yet.

i called mco and the alamo people told me to go right out to the garage and pick my car because alamo works just like EA.
i called alamo corporate headquarters and they told me quicksilver was NOT like EA.
does anyone know how this will work?

I think with alamo, you can go pick ANY car in the category you rented, while with emerald aisle, you can pick ANY car on the aisle (regardless of category you rented.) OR any car in the category you rented (non-aisle cars). I may be wrong, but i believe this is how it works.

Also with EA, you can bypass the counter and with Alamo, you still have to go to the counter.
