Can anyone tell me what this is? When I step on them they seems to be just dirt but they are all over my lawn. Look like little piles of intestines. LOL

Somethings Poop.

It's probably some type of fungus~
If you bring the photo to a lawn and garden center, they may recommend some type of fungicide. If that's what it is, you would want to apply it to cure it now in the spring and then another application in the fall to prevent it for next year.
Usually caused by high moisture~

Can ya tell if somethin' is borin' down into the ground, is there a hole nearby?

When you step on it does it "poof" like a fungal thing?

If so, go to Home Depot or whatever and get some Fungicide in a bag. Follow directions to the letter. Fungicide needs to be applied carefully.

I am pretty good with lawn fungus and that has me stumped. I will keep looking because I am intrigued.

Also it could be rodents, like voles or something else if it is just dirt and not fungal.

It looks like earthworm castings (a nice way of saying earthworm poop). If you google them you can find a picture of them.

I think you are correct. However man it is a ton of them.

Get your flashlight out tonight and do some investigation.:thumbsup2

Are you in the south? My 1st thought was crawfish. We used to get that when I lived in New Orleans after it rained a lot.

My 2nd thought was toad poop. those boogers poop all over my bach patio this time of year. Their poop poofs if you step on it, too. (Did i say poop enough there for you?)

I really have no idea....but my first thought was termites. I think they make dirt tunnels, not sure if they do it out in the grass.

To answer a few questions......
Nope its not fungus. Doesnt have that poofy dust when you step on it and that usually looks like cat barf.:rotfl: I live in the North and we have been getting a ton of rain lately so I am willing to bet it is from worms or maybe grubs??

Poop!

I just wanted to say a word that's kinda bad and not banned. Yet.

Grubs are not active now. It is either voles or worms. It does look like worm casting.

Do they move like a grub? Do you have a lot of birds on your grass in the mornings.

It doesn't look completely like what we had, but 2 years ago we ended up with crane fly grubs in our lawn after winter.

Birds loved them but they burrowed in the ground, so I'm not sure if this is the same thing as what you have.

Good luck..........they look gross whatever they are.

You must have some pretty big worms in your neck of the woods if that's what they are pooping!:scared1:

Yep, agree with this, my landscaper DH says earthworms do this when working into the ground, it's not exactly poop but is the soil brought up :thumbsup2
