We are currently booked at the quality inn on Manchester, we have a kids suite with a queen bed in one room and bunkbeds and a sofa sleeper in another room, they both have their own bathrooms too. There are going to be 6 of us so I need 2 bathrooms. I just realized you have to pay 12.00 a day for parking. we will be there 5 days but only 2 at Disney. I'm wondering if anyone knows of any motels within walking distance that have 2 room suites with 2 bathrooms and possibly free parking? Thanks

Not many offer free parking. Last I checked there were only a couple that did, and usually it was offset by another perk that you would be losing, such as no continental breakfast. If I were you I would make a short list of the hotels within walking distance and look up on their websites whether they offer free breakfast, free wifi, free parking, and other any amenities that are important to you (for myself I always look for both a fridge and microwave). And of course note the prices. Your options will also be limited by those with 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms. You may be able to look up this information already compiled elsewhere, but policies and offerings change so I would feel most comfortable looking it up myself on their websites for my specific dates.

Once you have this list you can evaluate each place as a whole based on how heavily you weigh certain options. If free parking is most important, you may have to give up a second bathroom (my family of 6 always stayed in a one room suite with one bathroom, so I know it can be done!), or free wifi, etc. Only you can say what is most important for your family.

Park Vue is closest, across the street from Harbor side entrance. Has free parking and free big breakfast but their 2 room suites only have one bathroom. You could get 2 rooms. I would just weigh what's most important to you. We don't spend a lot of time in our room, so free parking and being close is important to us.

Even if they have free parking they could be more expensive. Just factor parking into the overall cost. They'll charge it when you pay for the room anyway. So if you got the room for (EX) $100 a night for five nights that would be $500 + $60 in parking for a total of $560. But if a different hotel cost $120 a night with free parking you would pay $600 total even though the parking was free. Also, along with those two bathrooms you get (pretty rare) and the bunk beds, you get a decent breakfast compared to some of the other more continental style breakfasts.

I hate what hotels are doing.

We use search tools to find the cheapest room. They want us to book with them, but without them being the cheapest. So, they add on a bunch of fees that are not in the "searched" fee. Resort fee. Parking fee. Other fees.

Search tools are now useless. We are back to having to call each hotel, one-by-one, to figure out their fees.

Red Lion is the one that angered me the most. They have a rate they call the "no fees" rate. Makes you think there are no fees, right? I mean, if "no fees" doesn't mean no fees, what does it mean? They couldn't give me a good answer for what it means, since ALL the fees are added to the "no fees" rate.

Pretty much. It can be frustrating. Thankfully for DLR, if you're looking to stay right across the street on Harbor you don't have too many hotels to research.

Part of this is that Anaheim charges extremely high taxes/fees for hotels. When they say no fees they mean no resort fee and no parking fee. But they certainly don't mean you don't have to pay your share of the city taxes/fees. Taxes are so high. I was looking at HOJO at $140 a night for three nights it was over $70 in taxes/fees.

I know Red Lion runs deals sometimes where breakfast and parking are included, but I've never caught that deal in the multiple times I have stayed there. However, I'm not interested in breakfast because I like to eat breakfast in the park, anyway. We've had pretty good experiences there, but I have to agree that the add on fees pretty much everywhere get old and fast.

The Grand Legacy at the Park might have the type of room you are looking for. I think they have 2 and 3 bedroom suites. To compare hotels, I go to their website and go through the booking process and stop just story of entering my credit card information. This tends to get me either the true cost of the hotel or very close.
