HI new to posting.

Just planned a trip to wdw. I was diagnosed with ms recently and needed a vacation. I have been to disney may times in the past. This will be the first time I'll have mobiltiy problems. I don't have any problems walking, but was thinking of renting a scooter to prevent fatigue. So should I stand in line or use the scooter in line? Do I need a GAC? I bought the passporter open doors book, just haven't finished it yet. So many things to do. Just booked this trip monday. The other thing i'll have to worry about is keeping cool, any advise?
I'm staying at POR, I stayed there last year. Can't think of anything else now.
Thanks for your help

Only you know your own stamina, so if you think you can't handle standing/walking through the lines (either you can't do the whole lines or it'll tire you out for the day prematurely), stay on your ECV.

If you need any special accommodations, you'll need a GAC. If the ECV is your only need, you might not need to get a GAC because it is pretty obvious you're in one.

The Open Mouse book is good - glad you bought it! Do read through it and highlight anything of interest.

If you need to lay down, you can lay down in the First Aid building (there are private rooms you can use). My friend with MS (though she does have trouble walking) did this during the last several hours of our last day. She was so glad for it.

There was a previous thread on here about keeping cool, so do a search for that in this forum. Some suggestions were cool ties, cooling vests, and ice/ice packs. Remember to drink lots of water.

Above all else, HAVE FUN!!!! :)

If you haven't looked yet, check out the disABILITIES FAQs thread near the top of the board. There is a section about GACs that should help you decide.
