We love both the WL and GF (haven't stayed at CR), however, the GF has an edge in that the rooms are quite a bit larger than at the WL and the majority of rooms come with a daybed. The WL is convenient to MK via boat and in our experience, the buses have always been great. The GF, on the other hand, is just 1 monorail stop from MK, with the boat being another transportation option. If I remember correctly, you have 3 little girls. If you really aren't feeling the CR, I think the GF would be an excellent choice that the girls would love. The resort is beautiful, it's just a monorail ride away from MK as well as to the Poly and CR for dining and shopping, and now has a brand new Alice in Wonderland splash area for kids that I'm sure your girls would love. Good luck.

Thanks. I saw the splash pad area and it looks super cute!! I have looked into a villa DVC there. A studio there is cheaper than garden wing at CR so seriously considering it depending on how big the studios are.

I know you have stayed at GF before. where can you see the castle from the GF??

we ruled out WL as it doesnt really appeal to me :(

Thanks! Mk is our fave so we want monorail for sure but the walk is enticing!

Give it a try! :) The CR is fun, monorail running through the building, Chef Mickey's right there, the QS is actually quite yummy and you can see fireworks either from your room or from the 4th floor deck. The lake view is really pretty too, prettier during the day actually than theme park view is. The lobby smells delish. It just has a nice, clean feel to it. But really, the main appeal is being able to walk back and forth from MK whenever you feel like it, especially at night when it's crowded.

GL with the decision!

I normally am not interested in CR, but it seems like anyone who stays there absolutely love it! I don't seem to see people who feel as strongly about GF as often. If it were me I'd give CR a shot, but maybe make an ADR at the Poly so you can still get your Poly fix!

Have stayed at WL, GF and CR. It all depends on what theme you prefer, but you really can't go wrong with any of them. Happy planning!

The studios are actually pretty small, and very small in comparison to the CR rooms which run on the larger side for the deluxe resorts. There is only one queen bed and a sofa sleeper if that makes a difference. The kitchenette is nice as you have a fridge, coffee maker, toaster, and microwave. There is a ton of space in the kitchenette.

i read that there is a double sofa sleeper, bed and daybed in the gF studio. am interested if anyone knows square footage of the studio at the new gF??

the splash pad looks super cute!!

Positively LOVE CR!! Love the room decor, the restaurants, the monorail and the very best of all: walking out the door and being on your way to the MK!! It is worth every single penny and then some! LOL!

I love BLT (CR), but we always walk. Taking the monorail always seems to take forever as you stop at all of the other MK area resorts before hitting MK. On the way home, however, you are the express/first stop.

The information you have would be for a 1 bedroom. The studio has a queen size bed, and a double sleeper sofa. The square footage for the area with the TV, bed, sofa is 170 sq. ft. There is also a kitchenette and bathroom. The studios are small with two guests, four would be hard. With the sofa bed pulled out, there is no floor space. You would have to climb over the bed to get on the balcony.

Maybe we are talking about two different thing....I am thinking about a studio at the GF villas which include double bed, sleeper sofa and twin daybed...

but from everyone on here it looks like CR is way to go!

You mentioned a DVC villa in one of your posts. That would be Bay Lake Tower at the Contemporary Resort. Those are the only villas at the Contemporary. The CR itself may have studio rooms, but they are not DVC.

The splash pad area is at BLT and is for the exclusive use of those guests. You have to have your room key to access the pool area.

I think you should consider VGF. The GF is a beautiful resort and the villas look amazing :goodvibes.

1 queen-size bed, 1 queen-size sleeper sofa, 1 pull-down bunk size bed

Kitchenette
Paper plates and bowls, and plastic utensils
Small refrigerator
Wet bar
Full bathroom with separate tub and shower
Private porch or balcony

Everything I posted was referencing BLT, I thought she was looking at the CR.
