DD13 is campaigning to hold an officer position of her National Junior Honor Society. Posters are allowed so we're doing a bunch of those. What other campaigning type of things have your children done? Hand out flyers? Any cute logo type of ideas or giveaways? The election is quick - early next week - so we don't have much time to pull this together. I don't want to go over the top and get extreme with anything, just a few catchy ideas would be just fine. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

white tshirts (10 bucks at most at walmart) iron ons.Trust me. Get all of her friends to wear them.

The t-shirts are a great idea! Only buy them at AC Moore for about $2.50 each.

I agree. The T-shirts sound like a great idea. I don't know what kind of store AC Morre is. We do have a Wal-Mart and a bunch of dollar stores...I wonder if I can find them cheaply there?

Any more suggestions? Any help is appreciated!

I remember when I was in high school (and this was 25 years ago sooo...) there was a girl running for class treasurer. Her slogan was "Trust your loot with ..... Tuite (pronounced toot) and she used the yellow smilie face on all of her signs. She had everyone wearing yellow smilie buttons - like the Walmart roll back thing so everywhere you went you thought of her. It was a simple and clever campaign and she won by a landslide.

Wow. When I ran for a NHS position way back when, people were LESS likely to vote for you if you campaigned.

Sadly, where I went to school, you did not need to campaign.....popularity was all you needed.

AC Moore is a craft store, like Michael's. I don't know if Michael's has such ultra-cheap t-shirts, though. I've never looked there for them.

She needs to make sure that all of her friends know when the meeting is at which they vote, and to actually show up. My son not only didn't run for anything...he forgot to even attend the election meeting (at 7:30 one morning!)
