Need help with good priced Disneyworld and Hotel packages

Hello.

I'm new at this and not sure where to post this. I have tried searching through posts for this topic, but don't even know where to look.

I am planning a trip to Disneyworld in July 09 and need advice where to look for hotel and Disneyworld ticket packages. I don't want to stay at a Disneyworld resort, as they are too pricey for my budget, but I also don't want to stay in a roach motel.

Where do I look for good priced package deals? I need help!!!

Welcome to Disboards! You're running short on time with planning a July '09 trip so I'd go directly online. Check out Orlando area websites getting as close to Walt Disney World as possible. Maybe Orbitz, Priceline, Expedia or Travelocity could help. We've only done a WDW trip on short notice and that was still 3-4 months ahead of our vacation date. We used a local travel agent for that trip and they booked us in a hotel in the Downtown Disney area. We've also stayed at the Holiday Inn Sun Spree Resort, Embassy Suites in Downtown Disney area and even rented a house one year ... which we loved but didn't love the driving back and forth to the parks. If all else fails .. just check out area hotels for room availablity. If you stay close to the Disney World area the hotels are very nice, as are the ones in the Orlando area but you're looking at a longer drive time with lots of AM/PM traffic. Spend the weekend getting prices together and get that vacation booked! I'm jealous ... due to the economy and recent large medical bills, we're unable to take a vacation this year.
