I recently found a book at a flea market titled, Walt Disney's Epcot Center Creating the New World of Tomorrow. It's a large hard cover book with a picture of early Epcot on the front.Text is by Richard R. Beard, and the publisher is Harry N. Abrams Inc., of New York.It has a 1982 copyright AND publishing date, and is copyrighted bt Walt Disney Productions. It has 127 pages and a lot of interesting color photos. I bought it and read it simply out of curiousity and a love of all things Disney, but now my curiousity is even more piqued as I realize that I have never seen or heard of this book before. Does anyone have any info or insight on this particular treasure, or a lead as to where I could get more info? TIA.

What exactly do you want to know? The book was sold at the Centorium (now Mouse Gears) at EPCOT when the park was new. There are two versions: The earliest has all conceptual art of the World Showcase pavillions, the latter version has photos of them. Both have 127 pages but only the newer version has a pic of the Mexican plaza on the last page.

It must be the newer one, because there is a picture of the plaza on the last page. Thank you for the information. Is there any value to this, do you know?

A quick check on eBay shows a low of $5.00 and a high of about $20.00. Don't confuse this edition with the larger one that has over 200 pages.
