Need help with evening arrival logistics!

Hi Dissers! We will be arriving at Emerald Island around 8:00 pm (I am guessing) on August 9th. What do you folks do about feeding the hungry masses? My priority will be to get to a grocery store but the kids will be famished. Any suggestions? Also, any favourite grocery stores in the vicinity? I hate driving around clueless and jetlagged! Thanks in advance!

The Crossroads shopping center at Apopka Vineland Road across the street from the WDW entrance has everything you need - grocery store and lots of restaurants.

The Formosa Gardens shopping center has a grocery store, but I think the Super Target a few blocks west has better prices.

I would go to Giordano's at the Formosa Gardens center for dinner. Get a gift cert from restaurant.com to save $25 off a $50 bill, or $50 off a $100 bill, depending on the size of your group. Get an extra pizza and have it for left overs later - they heat up great in the oven. It takes at least 30 minutes to cook the deep dish pizzas, so call them on your way from the airport and they can start your pizza order so you don't have to wait so long. After dinner, take your leftovers to your rental, and check to see if you will need to purchase paper towels, dish soap, TP etc before going grocery shopping. The Super Target is less than 5 minutes from emerald Island.

We go to either Publix Orange Lake or Super Target which is across the road from it. About 5 minutes west of Formosa Gardens Blvd on 192. The MarketPlace in the FG Village is quite expensive.

There's lots of fast food, buffets and restaurants within 5 minutes.

Thanks so much for those great suggestions! I love that SuperTarget is so close to us. I think that grabbing pizza on the way to the house is a great idea! I think we may get take out as the kids will be itching to see where we are staying. I will be studying the map to get familiar with the area. We did stay at Windsor Hills a few years ago (our one and only other trip to the World) but I can't seem to remember too much about the area. I am getting excited!!!
