Need help with Disney math...

I keep trying to run the numbers, but I'm getting confused...so I thought I would ask for a little help!
I already have a trip booked with the 'kids free' pin. Staying at POR 4/28-5/4, standard room, regular dining plan, 7 day base tickets. 2 adults and 2 children
Total:$2185
So...I started looking at the offer that just came out to see if it was a better deal, but I don't think it is...
I would just do a standard room, 7 day base tickets, and no dining (can use the giftcard for dining).
Total:$2144?? right? a little less...but DDP costs ~$600 for our group...
I also thought about upgrading to WL if the deal would be better, but I'm getting $3001...
Am I adding this right?? Should I just keep the kids free pin??

Man, that is my DREAM PIN. I check my e-mail every day looking for that one. Anyhow, I got $2,593 for 2A/2C at WL for 5 nights (using a 40% off PIN for the remaining two nights,) so $3,000 sounds about right with the two extra nights. This doesn't seem like a bad deal since you are already paying almost $2,150 to stay at a mod and will be getting another $250.

I am in a similar situation. We currently have 2 woods view at WL for 7 days at 40% off pin. If we change reservations to this 750 gift card and book 7 days each at a standard room it ends up costing us about 200 or so with what we have to do to tickets and how were were going to purchase them with the 40% off. We are 4 adults, one is currently an AP holder so no ticket is necessary. We have 4 one day passes so 3 were going to be upgraded to APs. The net between the 40% and purchasing 3 AP (upgrading either the 5 day or the passes we have) will be out of pocket including what we will have left on the giftcards is about 200. (and we will have 4 one day passes and one 5 day) Financially it works out since we don't care about the woods view anyway, but what to do with the tickets in the future since it seems based on this and the last offer that length of stay tickets are required with an offer not just a one day) I don't know how I'll ever use them up!! If we split stay 5 nights standard and keep the 40% pin for the other 2 nights, it might be more worth it, probably break even but waste a day moving-we have a 1 1/2 year old with us- not worth moving. decisions decisions. One other thing with the package vs room only is zero interest for the 6 months on Disney Visa (also I'll have those disney dollars about 49 more if paid now!! plus a little of the 5 xs bonus!)

I assume you end up with 2 reservations? That's what happened to us last fall when the AP discount codes overlapped our dates (2 different codes)

I got one a few months ago where kids go free. It was for DDP and tickets. It also had an OR adults play and stay for the price of Kids. In that case adults would get the meal plan and tickets for the child's price. You had to pick not both. I guess it was for those without kids. In the past I've gotten just the kids, this one had both. It had nothing to do with hotel prices just tickets and food.
