Need help with Disney math and the new AP deal

So here is what I have planned for the 3 of us. Some things to consider first; because of where we stay (BCV & BLT) AP deals are very unlikely so not really a part of the deal for us and Memory Maker as well since we really won't use it.

Oct '16- already have 6 day base ticket would upgrade to Ap on first night. $1134 -staying 10 days so it's possible to use a few more days

Jan '17- long weekend- we have a super old pass with 1 day and 1 water park visit. So no $. We could just save these for another year and use AP from Oct.

Oct'17- planning another 10 day stay usually 6-7 days worth of tickets estimating the same $1134.

I think I could easily make up the $125 with dining and shopping discounts?

Also, if I got the TIW at the discounted price $125 does that last the length of the AP or just a year?

If TIW just lasts a year then get it in Jan. so it will last through the third trip as first trip has some 20% off restaurants already?

Is there a place that that list every benefit with all restaurants and shopping locations ex. is Shula's part of the AP system?

I'm thinking this is not a bad deal but it seems like it could be a really good deal. I'm just not sure as I haven't had an AP in about 10 years.

TIW is $150 now I think, so break even is $750. It is 13 months from when you buy it and includes alcohol, the AP discounts does not. TIW has a web site that lists all the places that accept it.
There is an AP web page but it is pretty wonky and works on a whim. The AP discounts listed today might not be the ones listed tomorrow, they tend to be fluid. I think (could be wrong) only Disney owned properties get the discount, thus a lot of restaurants in WS do not.

I think in terms of just ticket costs. If you are going to buy Park Hoppers (or non hoppers for that matter) and the cost of the tickets is more than the cost of an AP, then the AP makes sense. I don't use MM either so I was slightly put off when it started getting billed as a benefit of the AP and you couldn't get a less expensive one without it but it is what it is.

If bought within a certain time frame it's 13 months instead of 12. There are now 20% discounts at some places instead of 10%.

I would do the AP since you get 20% off purchases and many more restaurants are included now with 20% off too. It also has tour discounts if you are interested in any of those. I would look at the new list of restaurants because if you plan to dine at many of them you might not need tables in wonderland although if you will purchase a lot of alcohol or not eat at these restaurants TiW might be worth it. I don't have it in me to do math on that right now. They also have some AP hotel discounts but not sure about your resorts.

What is the cost of the tables in Wonderland right now? I see it says it's $25 off of the regular price.
Is the regular price $150 bringing it down to $125
OR
$175 bringing it down to $150?

I say upgrade one person's ticket to the AP, then purchase tickets for the second trip for the other people using the current Southwest Vacations sale.
