Ok, I have decided to make a dining plan. In the past we just flew by the seat of our pants so I am unsure what to put on our plan. I know that I want to do atleast Chef Mickeys, Crystal Palace and maybe something with the princesses (Akershus?). Which meal would be best - breakfast, lunch or dinner at these restuarants? What counter service restuarants do you recommend? We will be at the park for 4 days and have a 3 yo and 1 yo. I want a few sit down table meals for dinner that will be a good value (not necessary cheap but get your money's worth) and atleast semi-kid friendly (read: no sushi). Thanks for the help!

To me, CRT is better than PSB....it's the location, I think. Are you doing the dining plan...that may limit your choices.

1900 Park Fare may be more relaxing.

We like Pizzafari for counter service in AK b/c the decor keeps my kids occupied (each room has a different theme).

Cosmic Ray's has many choices and an animatronic creature that your kids could watch while they're eating.

We like Liberty Tavern b/c it has characters, but seems a bit calmer than other character meals.

Have a good trip!

Sorry, I saw that you said that you were making "A" dining plan. Does that mean that you are doing MYW dining?

If you are doing the dining plan, you get the least value (usually) by using your credits for breakfast since bfst. is generally the cheapest meals at Disney.

Do you and your children normally eat big breakfasts?

I would definitely do Cinderella's Royal Table for breakfast or lunch, and the rest of your character meals at dinner time. I think in general, you are going to get the biggest savings by having your table service meals at dinner time. If you can't get into Cinderella's Castle for breakfast or lunch, I think it is also a good deal at dinner time even though the characters are not there. I would go to www.allearsnet.com and look over some menus and see what appeals to you and your family and go from there! I think in general, you will get better meals at the deluxe resorts than you will in the parks and they are usually just a short walk away!

Sorry, I should have given more info. We are not doing MYW w/dining. I wanted to but since my DH is getting an AP and we will have PHP, we couldn't. We are doing DDE. Can I still get CRT reservations this close to the date? I thought you had to call 90 days out. What is a good restaurant to eat a STD at MK? I worked on it last night and I have us at MK one evening but no where to eat. Any ideas?

I will post what I came up with a little later and see what ya'll think about it.
