Ok, so we got the dining plan with the 4 day park hopper pass – the one that has the snack, quick service and dinner…

Tell me about it. Is the dining plan for the entire stay at the hotel, or just for the days we have the park hoppers? Also, does that dining plan work for every place there or are there limits on the amount you can spend per meal??

I am having a hard time finding info on it after I booked it.

Thanks.

Angie

The dining plan is tied to the number of nights you stay at your hotel - not your park tickets. There is no limit on the amount of the meal - for instance you can use a TS credit at Coral Reef & get a steak entree or you could use the same TS credit at Sci-Fi Dine In Theatre & get a burger. Some restaurants require 2 TS credits such as California Grill, Cinderella's Royal Table, Jiko & others. Most restaurants participate in the DDP, but not all restaurants do - I know Rainforest Cafe is one which does not. Hope this helps. For more info & help, check out the DDP Everthing You Wanted To Know sticky on the Disney Dining Plan forum.

I got a whole pack which explained the plan when I ordered my planning dvd. Not sure if they're still sending these but it's worth a try. As far as I know you can only eat at selected restaurants (sit down service) for the dinner which includes a main course and desert and one non-alcoholic beverage. The quick service is available at all counter service restaurants and you are allowed a meal, beverage and desert. The snacks are avaiable at the food carts in the park and also the quick counter restaurants and can be a drink, fruit, popcorn or ice cream. Not sure when you have to use it. We are staying for 14 nights and have been told the meals will be added to our room card and taken off each time we use it. I hope this helps, as I said I this is correct to my knowledge but I could have got it wrong. We have never had it before but got the quick service dinning free when we booke for our next trip. It seems like we will be saving a lot of money.

Hope you have a fab trip!

The main thing to know is that you need to make your reservations as soon as your window opens (i.e. 90 days for most vacations) to make sure you get decent times. Some restaurants are booked completely within days (or minutes if you want Cinderella's Royal Table).

Otherwise, look at the Everything You Wanted To Know sticky to learn all you wanted to know.

Is the dining plan for the entire stay at the hotel,
You get 1 Snack credit, 1 QS credit, and one TS credit for each person for each night of your reservation. So if you are staying 5 nights and there are just 2 adults you'll get 10 of each for your entire hotel stay. You can use any number per day, you are not limited to 1 snack per day, etc.

QS or TS meals can be for any meal, B, L or D. In your comment you indicated dinner for the TS, you are not limited.

does that dining plan work for every place there or are there limits on the amount you can spend per meal??

Not every restaurant at WDW takes the DP. Some that do may limit an item here or there on the plan, but in reality there are a very few "not included" items, most places include all entrees, etc.

A good place to get a feel for what places and items are available is to click on Dining at the top of this page. You will then be able to click on a list of restaurants included in the 2009 DP.

Guest are not given a stated $ amount to spend on the plan.

Angie

Hope that was helpful.
