I need help with choosing two restaurants for when we are at DHS. The problem is I don't want to book any of the restaurants in DHS...what restaurants are close by...i.e. boat, short bus ride away that are on the dining plan do you think would be good options to attend?

DHS and Epcot if you have park hoppers. Your dinner options increase quite a bit if that's the situation. If you're tired, there is a boat that goes to the boardwalk area and resorts. It's generally quicker to walk. The Boardwalk resort is probably 3/4 of a mile and unlike a lot of Disney this is set up for walkers.

Big River Grill on the Boardwalk is a boat ride away and it was the best meal of our last trip! It's on the DDP but you have to call them directly for a reservation (they're not Disney owned so Disney doesn't do ressies for them). We did a walk up for dinner and had no problem as well. Plus you can check out the fabulous Boardwalk while you're there!

you can take a boat to Epcot or any of the Epcot resorts is another option (Flying Fish, Cape May seafood buffet, and Yatchsman).

Thanks everybody for the great suggestions. I think what we are going to try to get is Flying Fish and then maybe Ohanas. I hope I get them when my 90 day ADR day arrive!!! Wish me luck!!!:yay:
