Need help with dd's birthday

Next Wednesday, my baby will turn 8. I have no idea what to get her for her birthday. She doesn't even know what she wants, except a pair of rollerblades (which my parents are getting).

We're not having a birthday party this year so we can save for a Disney trip in the fall. (This was a decision made by both of us, she was happy to forgoe a party to be able to go to WDW.) We're going to go out to dinner and have cake with family.

But I still have no idea what to get her!!!!!!!! Help me!

BTW, does anyone else ever have this problem?

My dd will be 8 in July. I have the same problem buying gifts for both kids. My dd wants a gameboy advance and clothes. I like the disney dollars suggestion too.

I have three girls turning 11, 9 and 7 (yikes!) all within 7 weeks, two have b-days 6 days apart and YES I have this problem, especially with the oldest. Her b-day is next week and I'm getting her gift cards and I've bought her a couple of stuffed animals.

I know you said no party, but when my oldest turned 10, she invited one friend, I gave them each $10 and we went to every dollar store in the area. They had a blast and I took their picture in front of each store.

DD turns 8 in Nov... lots at that age, eh? Haha!

This past weekend bought her an X-Box Nickelodian game and a Hamtaro house (she still likes little toys) that we played with all weekend. Have you heard of "Bratz dolls"?

We have that problem each birthday and at Christmas.

Our DD turned 7 a month ago. We bought her 2 games for PS2 and socks. (She needed gym socks.)

It's hard because they have EVERYTHING!

My dds are still young, but my neighbor's DD just turned 9. We got her a kit at Target that allows her to make her own beaded/rhinestone T-shirts (you know the REALLY popular ones right now). We also got her a couple of T-shirts so she could make them. Grand total about $20, and it was a huge hit.
